We had been on the road for thirty minutes before I had been questioned about Rainey. The guys all took interest and asked too many questions about her... Things that I hadn't even found out yet. But I tried to use the information I knew to answer them, like her age, she was in college and I gathered a lot from what she told me about her education. I even told them about her music and what she said about the genres, but when I tried to repeat it, I couldn't and I messed up a handful of times. Everyone understood what I was trying to say though and nodded along.

"Did you get her number?" Devon asked, with a glass in her hand and her legs sprawled over Jesse's lap.

    "No."

"Dude, how are you supposed to speak, or even see her again?" Jesse spoke up.

"She's coming to the next show." I said, with full confidence in my voice because I was sure she would come. I'd never been so sure about anything.

"That's cool! She got tickets for the the other shows." Devon smiled, "How many of the shows is she gonna to come to?"

    "I asked her to come."

"Wait, you're giving her tickets? For the next show?" Jesse said, fidgeting his body and sitting more straight forward.

I nodded and he stared straight at me. Devon still had a smile on her face and she looked across the space to see Alyssa, who was mirroring her expression. Brandon saw Alyssa and joined in, but Mikey and Jeremy sat still.

"That's really sweet, Zach." Lyss said.

"It is, isn't it!" Devon agreed with her.

I reached for my drink and gulped large amounts down my throat, while the other spoke amongst themselves.

I didn't just give her tickets, I asked her to come. I asked her to be there. And there was a difference there, I think. There was a line separating them both, because I wanted her to be there. I wanted to see her again.

"Zach?" Mikey asked, leaving everyone else in silence. "What's going to happen after the England shows?"

"What do you mean?" I asked, unsure what he meant, although the others seemed to know what he was on about.

"Yeah, dude, or what are you going to do when you go back to Cali and she's here in England?" Jesse said.

    "I don't know." I admitted, honestly.

And I didn't know what was going to happen. I didn't think that far ahead... In fact, I hadn't even needed to think that far ahead because all I knew was that, me and Rainey were nothing. We weren't together, I mean, I didn't even know if she liked me. It had been, what, a couple hours? I felt something with her but whether she felt the same, I didn't know.

One by one, everyone disappeared to their beds and the bathrooms. It had been an exhausting show again and we all had to be up in less than five hours.

Ten minutes later, I was left with Jesse and Devon.

"Sorry, man. I was being a dick earlier." Jesse said and walked over to the seat next to me. "If you like her, just keep talking to her until you're one hundred percent sure that she's the one."

"Jesse's right. She lives on the other side of the world from us and that's a huge thing!" Devon got off her seat and sat on the floor in front of me. "If it all does work out, then you've got big fucking decision to make..."

"I don't even know if there is something." I spoke.

"Well, how about this," Devon paused, "Do you like her?"

    Fuck.

    "He does." Jesse said.

Devon stared at us both and leaned forward. She put her chin on the little space of the seat I was on, between my legs and her.

"Then hold on to that feeling until it's gone." And with that, she got up to her feet and grabbed onto Jesse's hand, leading him out to the beds.

I sat in the silence and darkness of the room.

What was I supposed to do? I didn't want to overthink it but in this situation I had to put thought into my next moves, I couldn't just put everything out there and ask her. That would be fucking insane. And kind of shitty of me.

She had said about how she wanted to live in California, but I wouldn't want her to drop everything she's doing at the moment to live out there. She had college. She had her friends. And her family. I think. She didn't mention anything about her family, actually... Either way, it seemed like an impossible thing to do.

What if it didn't all work out in the end? Then I'd be thankful I didn't ask her to come California. But what if I couldn't get her out of my head? Like now.

    Fuck.
