We all finished our food pretty fast and left the little restaurant, feeling full.

Jeremy and Lucy walked ahead of us, both in deep conversation about some shit that I didn't really care about. Mikey and Rainey spoke about Lauren and he had told her about her and their little jokes. He told Rainey about almost everything, well apart from the sex shit. But almost everything. She stared at him, grinning at him.

"She sounds really lovely." Rainey said and Mikey nodded. "How you speak about her is just... it's just wow."

"Love, eh." He laughed, nudging her shoulder lightly.

She tugged her head down more tightly on her head as the rain started to come down faster. She tightened her grip around the sleeves of her winter jacket and folded her arms over her chest as she shivered and literally said 'brrr'.

"It is hard being away from her for tours or band stuff?" She questioned him.

He nodded very slowly, "Yeah, I mean, I miss her a ton and would kill to go see her right now but it's part of my job... I would never give this up though."

    "Or her." She said, quieter.

"Yep." He emphasised the 'p' and stared at Rainey blankly, like she had just figured him out or read him or something. "If you ever want to do this job..."

She laughed under her breath and turned around to me and tilted her head sideways and just looked straight at me.

    "What?" I asked.

    "Just you." She answered.

"Just me." I repeated and she smiled into her hand.

Lucy had told the guys the time and they had decided to go back to set up and see whether Jesse or Brandon had got back yet and I had told them to go on without me and that I'd catch up with them later. They gave me suspicious glares and then started walking off, leaving me alone with Rainey and Lucy. Luce stood still, with wide eyes as she tried to subtly shake her head at Rainey. She then glanced at me and to her phone.

"Shit, Luce, we forgot about you... This way to the venue." Jeremy shouted back to us.

Rainey gave her friend a concerned look at then Jeremy one.

"Don't stress, we'll take care of her." He yelled and Lucy started to walk towards them.

"Are you sure we're not a bother?" Rainey said, with her eyes still on Luce.

"Not even a little." I paused. "They've missed talking to a female, especially Jer."

She laughed and pointed her finger at me, "If she ends up high or some shit, I'll hold you responsible."

I raised both my hands in surrender.

"This weather sucks ass." I said.

"I love rain but when it's every single day it's not the best..." She admitted. "The thing is, I can't actually remember the last time I was in the sun! I miss it so much, it's weird."

"I've gotta give it to you, I wouldn't be able to live without the sun."

"You're in fucking paradise." Her smile faded. "The sun, the sea and just everything."

    "I miss swimming."

"I would too, if I could..."

    Wait, what?

"You want to live in California but you can't swim? Woah, why not?" I joked and the corner of her lips only just slightly turned upwards. It looked like a struggle.

"I would love to but I've never really got into it... I hate going to indoor pools because they just remind me of a shitty version of the sea and the atmosphere there is just horrible."

We walked underneath one of those over hanging roofs that kept the rain from touching us, but we were already soaking wet.

The rain covered the sky and made it darker than it should have been. It looked like a winter night but it was actually closer to summer. And it was still day.

Umbrella's filled the streets along with loud screams and laughing, which did sort of remind me of the beach if I closed my eyes and ignored the rain sounds. I missed everything about being home but I didn't want to wish it back quite yet. I wanted to stay here for a little longer.

I didn't want to look at the time and I didn't want to even think about the gig tonight. I kind of wished it would get cancelled just so I could spend the whole time with Rainey. Just so I could be with her.

"Why did you want to go on a walk?" Her silky voice spoke and I just wanted to put my lips on hers.

I thought carefully about what I was going to say. "I wanted to find out more."

"Huh." She lowered her eyebrows and looked to the sky as if she was deep in thought.

"Why did you come?" I asked.

    "Because you asked me to."

    "Yeah..." I murmured, stupidly.

"And because I wanted to find out more too." She lowered her head and kept walking, even though the roof had disappeared.

Note -- This is a filler chapter

I just want Rainey and Zach to spend as much time as they can together before they have to be separated... (That may have been a little teaser. May have been... Keep updated)
