My eyes scanned on those papers, flipping it one by one, "by the way, " I called.
"Yes, Captain?" She responded and took every paper on her work desk aside to give her full attention to me.
"I'm asking for an apology once again for being stuck on those paperwork that some of it were supposed to be Rangiku's share as part of her job."
Nothing, I just wanted to say that out of nowhere. It's been a couple of months since she started working with us. As promised, Rangiku taught her the so-called basics on what a third seat of the division does.
And probably this is what she learned from her, that is to do the paperwork. I can't help but to facepalm on everything Matsumoto teaches her in the living room of my office and I just watched them from my desk quietly.
"You're apologizing again, Captain. Is everything okay? Is there a mistake?" She asked as she was making her way on my desk then immediately eyed the papers on my hand.
It could be just out of habit now. That I apologize in little things like when she's cleaning up the mess after Matsumoto had her little party over a sake and a few barbeque take out. And mostly with the squad's documents that need to make a report that it's supposed to be not her work, but she's here doing it on behalf.
It's been a great help, but still.
"No," I said firmly then tacked the papers on the table to arrange it.
I closed my eyes briefly as I tried to rake my mind. What is this bugging me that I had forgotten something. My eyes blinked and she was the first thing and person that I saw.
And her eyes also were wondering what I must have been thinking the whole time, "Have you seen her around?" I asked.
She narrowed her eyes and looked down to the floor in thought, bringing her index finger under her chin, "Now that you mentioned it, Captain. I think, I haven't seen her today."
The door suddenly slid open which makes me and her turn our attention to the door.
"Oh, Captain~!!" She calls in a rhythm with a little pose in a dance style and a paper on her hand which was held up in the air.
After a few seconds passed on her little stage play, she ran to where I am.
Here we go again. (- - )
I watched Rangiku was doing her graceful entrance in the office.
"We've got an invitation!" She informs excitedly giving a piece of paper.
"And what is this for?" I asked and took the paper from her.
"Well, as you can read, Captain. It's an invitation from the Captain of the Thirteenth Division. It's a joint-division sparring! All squads were invited to join!" She explained excitedly.
"So this joint-division sparring that Ukitake proposed was approved," I mused reading on the invitation.
I caught in my peripheral vision that she was quietly watching us from the side as I read the invitation and Rangiku was expressing her excitement.
I don't know and I can't help but notice everything she does. It was weird, but she's also weird. (- - )
"Then who among our members might be interested in participating in this event?" I asked then turned my gaze to my reliable Lieutenant Matsumoto.
"Would you go and ask if any of them are interested in participating?"
Rangiku's high spirited aura dropped low into glum in an instant, "I wouldn't if you won't say please," She muttered puffing her cheeks out with air.
