When I was with you, I felt I could be anything.
You brought out the best in me and so with my worst.
You pushed me beyond my limits and told me it was okay.
And I believed every word you had uttered.
I thought our love story will never end.
Until the day you left without a word.
The shallow confidence I had, crashed into tiny pieces.
And my heart bleeds out and longs for you to come back.
For days I cried my heart out.
My silent screams that no one had ever heard.
My sleepless nights and self-pity party.
Only the darkness was my witness.
I thought I would never feel again.
Until one day, I woke up murmuring I was okay.
Each day I live my life one day at a time.
Fully aware that I was actually empty inside.
My brain said I was okay.
My heart says to stop and listen to the brain.
My body felt weak and wanted to give up.
But the brain has its own ways.
