Chapter 9 - The trouble of a keen sensor

"He...He's at the arena!"

"Look who's in trouble again."

"It's good to see you around!"

"Master haven't come back since 7 o'clock."

"Is he insane?!"

"He'd been training continuously  for 8 hours!"

Erik's POV

Crap. They've found out. Of all people, why am I the most unfortunate one! God, I didn't owe you anything!

I sighed to myself. It seems that my life is full of  tragedy. What makes me think of that you ask? First , I got up in the early morning and decided to check on Team Natsu but I ended up almost beaten up by them. Second, I didn't get up purposely, or technically, I got up because of noises. But that's not the main thing. The point is, I have to keep it a secret but in the other way around I can't!

The noises are coming from the woods and obviously it's 'Jelly' who made it. Since we started living in this mansion, the woods surrounding us became our training place. And apparently he is very 'hardworking' these days and often goes out in the early morning till late night.

I was the first to discover his mad 'training series'. I mean,  how can you ignore the sound of earth boulders slamming and crashing together, water splashing all around, or even war cries? Especially when you have keen sense of hearing.

Jelly told me not to tell anyone about it, especially for Ultear and Simon. It was nothing, at first. But as the time goes on Jelly's  'training fever' get more serious till he went out  training everyday from morning to night continuously. Ultear and Simon found out one day and restricts his training hour. Of course, he wouldn't listen. And so, the only outcome is Jelly secretly goes out while they are not around and I have to keep it a secret from them.

Actually, we all know what is happening to him. All these abnormal behavior only occurs after we saved Team Natsu. He would have these changes just because of her. From the Nirvana incident, which I first met Jelly, I can hear his care for her. And When the first few weeks of Team Natsu's coma, he often stay beside her, almost 24/7. If it wasn't us to stop him, he would have stay in the infirmary day and night.

It seems like he is very in to it. I can hear from his thoughts. Even for Erza Scarlet. I smirked to myself. It was rare to see Titania's soft side.

Even though, it still  couldn't change my destiny. I'd just told them his location and now they know that he broke the rules given to him again. I don't have any choice then! Jellal is very scary when he's mad but Ultear and Simon is not some easy things to deal with too! I am sure that my heart skipped a beat just now when they approached me. And now they are going to  the arena any time soon and I just hope that Jellal won't kill me when he finds out. Jesus, Sky Emperor, Athena ... I don't care! Please save me!

The conclusion is, sometimes having a keen sense isn't a good thing.

Rex's POV

They should be here by now. How will they react after they've found out the truth? I wonder.

I bet Team Kagura will be furious about it though. It is not something that can be easily forgiven after all. If that's the case, Kagura would have place her sword to his throat by the time she sees him. The time that he almost being captured again in the Grand Magic Games shows it all. The reaction and sickness when the Mermaid Heels sisters accidentally saw him.

But in the other way around, how come she doesn't react when she saw Jellal after Ultear came by? She doesn't likely believed in Ultear's words after all. At least, I didn't see any madness in her anymore.

Things are quite complicated these days. Sho is somehow aggressive with his too. He is a strong-feeling person, not mentioning he is the youngest of them all too. Can he really accept the truth when he finds out?

I looked at the man standing right in front of me, who is also in his fighting stance ready for the next round. His eyes are full of determination. I sighed silently. He wouldn't be this steady if he knew what's happening now in the guild. Well, he'll now it anytime now.

No one knows what is the outcome for forcing these incompatible magnet to stick. I hope master's decision-- our decision was right.

I wonder if she's alright by now? She's my savior and I hope I can do more to help her.

I got back to my position and have a peek at Jellal before I send a rock flying towards him, which he easily dodged.

Hope the weight in his heart can be lift up soon.
