Chapter 25 - Determination

Normal POV

She never once thought she'll be going against him. She never once thought she'll be arguing with her beloved brother over a man -- a man that she once hated deep into her bones.

"Please tell us the truth, Simon. At least, tell us where Jellal is."

There he was, showing that guilty face towards them again. "I just can't, alright." Again, with this answer.

Simon can't hold this any longer. At this rate, they'll know the secret that no one should know. He can't. He must get himself together. Or else their effort will be as good as nothing. He mustn't give in, even if the person is his best friend or his sister.

"I really don't know where he went nor what happened so quit asking!" He slightly raised his voice.

She  furrowed. This is the first time she have ever heard his brother yell. Her instinct tells her this must be a serious matter--more serious than any so-called secret they hold before, or else he won't have such aggressive reaction

She knew it. Something must have happened with Jellal, or should she say, with both Jellal and Erza. They seems to be a little distance with each other lately. Even in the celebration party for Erza to celebrate her to be the 7th master of Fairy Tail, Erza may seemed happy but she looked lost and distracted.

Jellal is the one who threw full support when Levy suggested the whole master thing but that night he wasn't in high spirit either. Especially when they were requested to give a speech together, they intentionally avoid each other's gaze as if it hurts to see each other.

Who says she have forgiven him? But for Erza's sake, Kagura have no choice but to hold back her grudge towards Jellal. Even Simon have no hard feelings for Jellal for almost killing him so that leaves her no choice. Only for their sake. She will try to give him a second chance.

Now Erza is not her usual self. Kagura swear she will make Jellal to get back his senses and fix whatever problem he made.

Just when Sho, Walley and Milliana  perplexed for their next move, Kagura broke the silence. "Fine. We will find it out ourselves."

Simon is shaken.This is no good. Kagura is determined to seek it themselves and for what he know about his sister's nature, she will not stop until she gets what she wants.

If they got the wrong idea or inforation, it would only make things worse and endanger themselves.

Just split it out already. A voice rand through his head.

Get out of my head, Erik. He replied.

Like I care what your dumb mind is thinking. You're the one who's intruding my mind.

He's hopeless, Simon thought. Before Kagura turn back to leave, he grabbed her wrist while ignoring someone's cursing voice in his head.

"Prepare yourselves for what you are going to see next."

Crime Sorciere, a wizard's crime. Formed as a platform for those who once went to the wrong path to redeem their sins. However, the burden us too much to bear. They are neither accept by the good nor the bad. They fight darkness with darkness, aim for only one goal, so that no one will fall into the endless nightmare like they did. Still, when they prepared to walk into the eternal darkness once more, they were welcomed by the darkest secrets of the century that no one dared to tell. At that time they knew there is no turning back. For it will hunt them like a shadow until death claims their pitiful soul.

"W-What?"

"You wanted to know what's going on, don't you not?" His voice is deep and firm, his eyes are stern and solemn that they immediately know that he's not joking at all.

"I will take you there. But you must be prepared. Mentally and Physically."
