A very well known and one of the most important organ of our body, also known as the "pump" of our body ,The heart is indeed a very crucial organ for our survival.
It pumps 6,500-7,500 litres of blood daily.
In cardiovascular physiology,stroke volume (SV) is the volume of blood pumped from the left ventricle per beat. The stroke volumes for each ventricle are generally equal, both being approximately 70 mL in a healthy 70-kg man.
The main reason why we need heart is to meet our demand of oxygen. Can you imagine what will happen if the heart becomes impoten to pump blood in a normal manner ?
