A warm day in Belgium and perfect composition of air made me feel ravish.
It's me, Acira Weisz. I'm a microbiologist and I'm a member of Belgian society of microbiology.I loved working in labs since high school days. I was profoundly interested in studying about microorganisms and always have loved reading about Louis Pasteur,my favourite scientist. The guy who supported the fact that living creatures don't generate from nonliving things.
Anyways,I loved microbiology because it is fun to explore a world of organisms who play a significant role in our lives yet remain invisible. They help in digestion, help in manufacturing certain items and are also responsible for certain diseases. From disease I remember....that day.... 2 months ago ...something inconceivable happened which made me and my colleague scientists startled in amazement.
My story begins at a place which is very dear to me,my grandmother's house.
I decided to meet my grandmother as she had been calling me for a month now. I decided to meet her on Sunday. I can still feel the warmth of the sunshine covering the green mountains of Vaalserberg when I was on my way to her house.
Chirping of birds and the fresh air that fills your lungs in order to give you a feel of enchanting refreshment.
Swifting through the way,I finally reached my destination. It seemed like my grandmother was eagerly waiting for me. I didn't ring the bell because the door swung open before I could reach to the door, I realized that my grandmother must have been keeping an eye on the front entrance through the window and keenly waiting for my arrival.
"Hey,Granny!" I exclaimed cheerfully and waved.
"You're late, where have you been,my child?" She said in an irritated but sweet voice.
"I reached just in time, what are you saying Granny?" I said moving towards her in order to hug her.
"Yes!you are! I made the muffins an hour ago and when they were ready, you said, you are gonna be here in five minutes " She said hugging me back with a traceable anger in her voice.
"I'm sorry Granny, oh,yeah!Muffins!Where is it?" I said, closing the door behind me.
"Go,wash your hands and I'll get it ready for you on the table." she said with a smile.
" Okay!" I said as I headed towards the sink.
I washed my hands and rushed into the dining room , I loved muffins and Granny was aware of the fact. The aroma that filled the room made my taste buds tingle in anticipation.
I quickly reached at the table and started devouring the the muffins and kept eating and my mouth got completely filled with it."No one is going to steal them, eat slowly or you'll choke" My grandmother said with a sweet smile on her face.
"They're delicious" I said with an expression of delight.
"Haha" she smiled lightly "Wait! I'll bring more" she said and went into the kitchen.
I was busy devouring my meal when I suddenly heard a sharp noise from the kitchen.
It sounded as if some crockery fell down and broke into pieces."Granny? Is everything okay?" I shouted, but I got no answer.
" Granny?!" I yelled again, but the silence persisted.
