The virus certainly was unknown, but I was keen to figure out every minor detail about it.

We conducted the required experiments to figure out the true nature of this virus. We took great precautions while conducting each experiment and finally we got the results.

The virus was contagious. It had properties similar to that of Ebola virus, but was a bit different from it. It had a strange property of engulfing the haemoglobin from the blood cells of the host making the host anaemic.

"This thing,it seems to me that..." Stephen was about to finish when the lab door suddenly swung open and Boris entered into the lab.

"Hey,guys! Wassup?" He waved at us and started approaching towards us.

Boris Carlos was a colleague scientist and a good friend of Acira and Stephen. He was roughly 176 centimetres tall and had a dark skin tone and brown shade of eyes.

"Hey,Boris!" I replied. Stephen just welcomed him with a slight smile on his face,he didn't say anything.

"What are you guys doing in here?" Boris interrogated.

"We are just here for a barbecue party." Stephen replied with sarcasm and crossed his arms on his chest.

"A party?Without me?" Boris replied with a smirk.

"Yeah, unfortunately no more food is left for you now." Stephen answered while Boris was gazing around the lab room. I thought he took Stephen's joke seriously .

"Actually,we have been performing an important experiment, trying to get the entire details about an unknown virus and now we are discussing the results." I said interrupting their conversation.

"Oh? I see, so how's that virus?" Boris asked with curiosity.

"It has a few properties of Ebola, it can spread through any sort of fluid discharged by the body of the victim.

It can also make blood incapable of carrying oxygen, making a person to suffer from anaemia. It keeps working until the whole blood in the body gets deprived of oxygen and creates a condition called cyanosis. Ultimately leading to death.

This was all we have been able to figure out till now. "

I narrated, giving him all the details about the virus which was known to us.

"Woah, that's terrible!Spreads like Ebola you say?" Boris said with his eyeballs almost bulging out of their sockets.
" What is this virus? Where'd you get this from?" He asked after a brief pause.

"My grandmother became a victim to this menace." I said while looking towards the sample of the leftover blood in the test tube.

"What?!How?" He exclaimed.

"Okay, don't mutilate her
by asking about her grandmother." Stephen uttered with a scowl on his face.

"I w-was... just..." Boris whispered in a low tone.

"That's okay,Stephen." I said with a calm expression on my face. "Not talking about the incident won't change anything, I need to accept the truth, accept it that she's gone and now she's never coming back."

"Acira" Stephen spoke in an undertone.

"She got infected with this virus and "How",is what I need to figure out." I completed.

"I'm really sorry for what happened to your grandma. I believe, this virus has been synthesised. Otherwise, how come we never heard of it?" Boris replied.

"I think the same. How can such a deadly virus suddenly erupt into someone's body?" Stephen uttered in a grave voice.

"I think we should contact the hospitals of the town to know if there are any more cases which are similar to this one." Boris enlightened us with his idea.

"Yes,we need to identify the source of this catastrophic virus plus how it infected my grandmother. " I said.

"Maybe your grandmother's neighbours can provide us some useful information regarding this case, what you say?" Stephen rejoined while looking at me.

"You are right." Boris replied in acceptance.
" Ok,then I'll be calling the hospitals in the town to figure out if this virus has affected any other person or not and you two go and try to obtain some information about the case from the neighbours. " He narrated the whole plan.

I was pleased with the idea too,the neighbours can certainly inform us about the places my grandmother used to go on a regular basis. We decided to leave the lab at that very instant and after taking off the lab coat and gloves, we started heading towards the exit.
