Stephen and I drove our way through to my grandmother's house. I knew,this time the only difference I'll notice is that my grandmother won't be waiting for me at the main door of the house.

~~~
We finally reached our destination and we were ready to set the plan into motion.
Before starting our interrogation with the neighbours we decided to go inside the house and have a look around, we can't neglect even a single bit of information. If this disease is contagious then it's certainly possible that grandma might have got infected by something that might still be in the house.
"It'd be wise if we'll put on our gloves." Stephen said, pulling out a pair of rubber gloves from the pocket of his jeans.
"I think you're right." I replied in agreement.
We walked into the house,I decided to have a look into the kitchen and Stephen went into grandma's bedroom to obtain any sort of clue possible. We were able to hear the sounds of our own footsteps, the silence was persistent.
"Damn this cursed place." I whispered as I walked into the kitchen. There was no change in the state of the kitchen since morning, the muffins were still spread on the floor and a trail of ants had discovered a way to reach the delicacy.
I scrutinised the place,but I failed to get a single hint about what might would have caused the contamination and this disaster to happen.
I was just looking around when suddenly I got a glimpse of an open window on my right.
The curtains were covering it partially,I shoved them aside and peeped out.
I saw nothing but the beautiful little garden decorated with a variety of flowers and thick bushes at the boundaries.
Grandmother loved gardening and these blossoms are the proof of the fact.
"Acira" I heard Stephen calling from behind.
I turned around and walked to him. "Did you find something?" I demanded.
"Nothing!" he said and sighed.
"Okay,let's go out and ask the neighbours, they might give us some useful information." I suggested and started walking out already.
"I really shouldn't have dumped those burritos, I'm gonna starve to death" Stephen whispered.
"Did you say something?" I turned around to ask him.
"Nah,let's go" he said and started following the path that'd lead him to the exit.
I just followed him from behind and a few moments later we both were out of the house,deciding which door we should knock first.
Meanwhile an old man was passing by the way, Stephen decided to stop and interrogate him first.
"Hey! Are you listening?" He said in an attempt to stop him ,but the old man didn't seem to hear and he kept walking.
"Oye!" He exclaimed,once more ,but the old man kept walking without even giving a glimpse.
Stephen rushed towards him and finally stopped the old guy by locking his arms around his shoulders.
"Listen, old man!" He said with a mild tone of frustration in his voice.
The old guy turned around to figure out who tried to prevent him from moving ahead.
His face was pale and covered with wrinkles which made his skin appear like a crumbled paper and by the way he responded to external stimuli it was clear that his hearing ability was not at all good.
"Do you know anything about the lady who lives here?" Stephen asked while pointing towards my grandmother's house.
The old man didn't seem to understand what Stephen was talking about at first,but he stared at the house and after giving a blank glance to both of us ,he finally started speaking.
"If you're asking about the lady who lives here, then sorry,I don't know anything about her except that she waters her flowers every evening. I've never tried to talk to her,but she does have a beautiful garden."
He completed.
Stephen and I looked at each other and looked back at the old fellow,
"We must not stop, let's go and ask others" I declared and rushed towards the house next to my grandmother's.
"Thanks,old man. That was a heck of an information!" Stephen said in a sarcastic tone and followed me.
We kept interrogating the people of the neighbourhood ,but all our efforts seemed futile.
We didn't get a single chunk of an information which might give us a hint about the situation.
Stephen and I were heading towards the car to go back to the lab and continue with our experiment to figure out a bit more about the catastrophic virus which just got discovered, but we were suddenly stopped by an ingenious voice
"Hey there, excuse me!"
We turned around to figure out it was a child,which looked barely 12 years old.
"Hey,What's up?" Stephen replied.
"I want to tell you something!! About that granny."
