Spartan training

I spin my head around to see the owner of the hand. Surprise surprise the boney hand's owner is a skeleton!

"Thought you said you couldn't fight." I said turning around and smiling at him. He doesn't smile back. I take a deep breath. "Ok, where are we training." I ask. For some reason I know it won't be in the field by the lab.

He snaps his finger and the wall in front of us caves in and shows an opening to a place that doesn't look like its from this world.

It has the landscape of Snowdin, but there's no snow.  The trees that used to bend with the weight of snow are now burned to the ground surrounded by ashes.  The sign is still there, but it looks like it's been slashed by a knife.

I look over at papyrus.  He's looking at it sadly.  "Another dimension.  One day here would be a year there.  No one would interrupt us there.  There is no one to interrupt us."  He says and puts his hand on the side of the wall.

"But you won't be too bonely, I'll be there with you!"  He says.  Even though it's a joke he doesn't sound to happy.

So we'll be in there training for a year, but only a day will pass here...  We're going to need all the training we can get if we want to defeat someone who's had timelines of experience with killing.

"How will we know when to go back."  I ask looking into the burnt wasteland version of Snowdin.  "I'll be able to make a window into our dimension, we would be able to see what is happening there, but they can't see us."  Papyrus says.

There's no time to hesitate.  "Ok.  Let me just tell everyone a few things, make sure they know what to do."  I say running out of the room seeing papyrus' slight nod of the head.

I run in the direction everyone left, but catch something blue out of the corner of my eye.  I stop and backtrack a bit to where I saw it.

Looks like someone dropped a blueberry.

I walk over and sit down, leaning on the wall.  "So you heard?"  I glance over at Sans.  He's burying his face in his scarf.  He nods a bit.  I place my hand on his head.

He rubs his eyes with his scarf.  "NO!"  He stands up suddenly, grabbing my hand.  "Im sure that everyone can be a good person!! Just like Alphys thought you were bad,"  he pulls me up to my feet too,  "but you weren't! Im sure it's same for the other human!"  He grabs my hands together and looks into my eyes with hope.

"They're just on the wrong path.  But I, the Magnificent Sans, can help them!"  He says happily.  His eyes shimmer.

I force a smile into my face.  I reach over and kiss his forehead.  "You're too sweet and innocent for this world."  I whisper but I don't think he heard.  His face turns bright blue as I run off to find the others.

I run into a room and see Alphys and Undyne on the computer.  I run up behind them.  I don't have much time.

I see a design on the computer.  I look over it, it's a flyer for the little performance we are showing.  "Put something about the king attending on it."  I say scaring Undyne a bit but then she nods.

I glance over at Mettaton who is floating in a corner.

"We don't have enough time to make a new body for hi, do you have any spare bodies from napstablook?"  I ask Undyne.  Her eyes widen.

"H-How did you know napstablook was a ghost?  Never mind that actually... Yes I do, and it changes color based on he ghost inhabiting it."  She says going back to the flyer.  "Good.  Make sure to include the model on the flyer, people love hot guys."  I state and run over to Mettaton.

I give him a hug, and I don't phase through him.  I don't know how that works but it does.  "You'll do great, your a natural born star..." I say and run back to the room with the door to the other dimension.

Papyrus is leaning against a wall that isn't a hole.  He pulls his cigarette out of his pith an lets out a puff of smoke.  "You ready kid?"  He asks.  I nod.

"Ladies fi-  wait... Are you a lady?"  He asks confused.  I chuckle a bit.  "How rude.  I will go first though."  I say as sassy as possible and step up to the portal.

I take a deep breath and clench my fists.  I step forward and feel my feet hit solid ground.  Well.  No sick feeling, no pain, no warped passage?  That was pretty anticlimactic.  I hear papyrus step behind me.

I take a better look around.  Everything is burned to the ground.  And I mean everything.  The only reason the sign is still there is because it had a metal frame.

Suddenly I feel killing intent behind me aimed for my head and I duck down. Sonething flies over me with enough speed to make my hair sway, and hits the sign behind me.  I glance over.  There's a bone shaped hole in the sign.

I glance at papyrus.  Everything goes black.  Both of his eyes are glowing and he's juggling a bone in his hands.

"You ready kid?"  He asks and is surrounding by bones behind him.  I take a deep breath.  "Doesn't seem like it would matter if I wasn't ready."

He smirks.  "Nope.  So get ready now."  He says and lifts his hand causes all the bones around him to swirl.

"Figures."  I say and press the button in front of me.  I won't bother acting.

                            MERCY

Papyrus gets an almost happy look on his face seeing me press that, but immediately shuts off his expression and flings the bones into the battlefield.  Im in he same position as in Undyne's fight, I am where my soul usually is.  The bones line up in front of me, leaving no space behind.

Papyrus snaps and I feel the pain start again.  I stay on my feet though.  I tighten my jaw and clasp my hands into fists.  The pain ends.

Im blue now.
