The Love That Went Between Us:Rio Lane's Story

**One month later**

It's been a month already since the last time the guys kissed and spoke with me. I could finally concentrate on my classes instead dealing with what I consider drama. There were rumors going around that Kyle broke up Theresa to be with me. Last week Theresa wanted to fight me but she knew that that would cost the loss of her place as our class president so she decided to give me the stare. Sometimes when I open up my locker, Tyler glances at me less than a second as he walks by, but when I turn around to peek at him he looks away as if he had business to take care of.

"Boo!!" I jump in frighten. It was my new friend Stacy Stewart. We became friends recently because she would usually sit with me at lunch and I finally talked to her since she always stared at me. Sure she was weird but she's hilarious and I like her alliterate name. She told me she was the second rank in her class so hooray for me because I have someone I can study with even though I can do anything on my own. So the question is why with the "boo"?  Tomorrow's Halloween and well Stacy found a creepy mask and wanted to scare me since i don't usually get scared but this time she startled me.

Stacy starts tearing up with laughter. "Not funny Stacy, you could've dropped my history books." "But I didn't! You should've seen your expression when I jumped and scared the crap out of you!" I sigh and fix my glasses. "Let's go Stacy or we will be late to class. Remember that Mrs. Petrakis does not tolerate tardies."

On our way to class I bump into Kyle. He made me drop my history books and my homework on the floor. Great. Just great! "I'm really sorry Rio, I didn't mean to." I kneel down to pick up my stuff but Kyle offered to do it. "It's not your fault Kyle. I should've seen where I was going." "No it's my fault. I was jamming out with my eyes closed. I know it sounds weird but I'd rather be weird than be normal."  Some people see us in the hallway and start whispering. It became too quiet and then some trouble maker shouts out, "Kyle, go and hit that girl. Woooo!!" I fix my glasses and grab my things from Kyle's arms. "Thank you Kyle. bye." I had to escape before there were any rumors starting to come around. Stacy felt bad for me but I told her I would be fine.

                ***the next day***

Yep. It's Halloween. To my surprise, yesterday Theresa invited me to her Halloween party at her house. I wasn't a fan of house parties since they could host drugs and alcohol but I needed some free time from school  work.

"Dad I'll be back at 10. I left the address by the fridge in case you want to take me home early or me wanting to leave early." "Okay kiddo, go and suck some blood tonight" He winks at me and I giggle and close the door. Yep I dressed up as a vampire because it was one of my favorite Halloween monsters. To be honest, I felt as if my outfit was to revealing but I didn't care at the same time. It's not like anyone was going to notice me right?

I didn't want to make a good or bad entrance but everyone kept staring at me. They all stepped back and I served myself some fruit punch. Some random drunk guy comes up to me almost spilling his drink. "So hey, nice outfit you got on the there. You totally look like a real vampire. You can suck blood right? How about you suck on my--"  Stacy  pushes the guy away and hugs me. "Thanks stace, you're a lifesaver." "No problem. It's not like you were actually going to do what he said right?" I chuckle and nod no. She smiles and pats my back. "That's good." Theresa comes down from the stairs in her costume. She looks like an actual princess.
