Chapter 1
"Layla can you please come down stairs, I would like to talk to you about something." my mom yelled from down stairs.
I walked down stairs to see my mom sitting on the couch with a man who looks about 45. He's about 6"6' with hazel eyes and dark brown hair that's turing gray; a woman who looked about 43, 5"5' dark blond hair and brown eyes and sitting in the middle of them is a boy who looked about my age 16 who had blond hair and hazel eyes. You could tell that he's probably a football player because he's well built, or he's in some kind of sports. He's wearing an American Eagle shirt and jean-
My thoughts were cut off when my mom said,"Layla this is Mr. and Mrs. Anderson and there son James and he's your fiance."

I was sitting in the middle of my parents while they talked to a women , I thinks' name is Anna Brown. We were here to discuss the Arrange marriage my parents are putting me threw, to Layla; I haven't meet her or seen what she looked like but I hope she's hot. I wasn't paying attention until I heard Mrs. Brown say, "Layla this is Mr. and Mrs. Anderson and there son James and he's your fiance." I looked up and she had dark brown hair and eyes. Also she's waring all black clothes. Great an emo girl.
She stood there a little shocked like she had no idea what was going on, but then she started laughing. "Nice one mom really funny, I actually believed you for a second."
"Sweetie, it's not a joke, your really engaged to James here." She said gesturing to me.
"WHAT?! Like and arranged marriage you got to be kidding me. How? When? Why?" Okay maybe she really didn't know. How could her mom spring this on her. How could they even make us and an arrange marriage I thought those didn't exist anymore in the 21st century.
"Honey we'll talk about this later," her mom said on the verge of tears. "But you'll be living with them for now on. In New York."
"What?! So you spring an arranged marriage on me and telling me I have to move 3 hours away by plain!!!!!!!" She started to yell
I decided it was my turn to interfere. I really didn't want to but... "Ummm I'm sorry too interrupt but, I think Layla should start packing if were leaving tomorrow." Layla decided she should glare at me so I glared back.
"I'm not leaving." she stated while standing ground and crossing her arms over her chest. I just rolled my eyes and picked her up to bring her to her room. She huffed and stiffened but in the end knew she had no chance.
"Okay, were leaving tomorrow at 5, then we'll end up in New York. Pack everything you'll need. Bye" I walked down the stares to see all the adults looking at me. I shrugged and walked out to the car.

I can't believe I'm having an arrange marriage that has to be illegal. I pick up my phone to call my best friend Emma.
"Hey, Emma here what up?"
"Em you'll never believe this! I'm having an arranged marriage."
"what you got to be kidding me and why didn't you tell me in the first place." she asked
"Because I just found out today like five minutes ago."
"Well is he at least hot?" she asked once again. She's always like that and I never thought it would get old until today.
"Yes, but not the point. I'm moving to New York tomorrow." I sadly said
"WHAT!!! You got to be kidding me I can't lose my best friend."
"I know, were leaving tomorrow at five so do you want to come over tomorrow and we can spend a little bit of time to-" I got interrupted by a knock at my door "Gotta go my mom's at the door."
"K bye, Love ya."
"Love ya to," I told her and then hung up. "Yes," I said to my mom when she entered my room.
"honey, I'm sorry you had to find out this way, but if it helps I don't want you to get married either."
"They why force me to?"
"Because it's something from your fathers first marriage, the first girl and boy in each family born around the same time had to get married."
"But isn't it illegal"
"No there's a document and everything I didn't know about it till the divorce." I could tell she was telling the truth with the tears trying not to overflow
"and if I don't agree to this?" I asked scared to know the answer
"both of us will get arrested for braking it" she said
"Okay I'll do it for you." I told her and put on a sad smile and I knew she knows it was forced. "I'm tired, I'll see you in the morning, night."
"Night honey, Love you" she said and kissed me on the forehead then left my room. Soon after I fell asleep with tears in my eyes knowing my life will soon change big time.
