Awwww look at Kellin and Vic⬆ Cuties.
I stared at Sam in shock.
"I'm Carter's best friend. What are you doing here?" Michael asked and gave Sam a dirty look.
"That's no of your business!" Sam replied.
I cleared my throat. "Um, did I miss something?" I asked and shifted my weight from one foot to another.
Silence.
"I'm leaving. I'll see you later, Carter," Sam said and shoved past Michael and out the front door.
Once he was gone, more silence.
"Seriously, what happened?" I ask Michael.
He shook his head. "I'll tell you later."
I sighed, but didn't say anymore."Haha, ok! What should we do now?" Addi asked, trying to lighten the mood.
"Do you think we can walk 2 miles through the snow to the movie theater and see a movie?" Ian asked sarcastically.
"That actually isn't a bad idea," Emma said. "Do we have enough money for tickets and stuff?"
"I do. I can pay," I stated.
"Sweet! Let's do it then!" Austin said and smiled. Patrick rolled his eyes.
"Let me get changed first. You guys figure out what movie we are going to see," I said and sprinted up the stairs.
I went into my bathroom and brushed my teeth, brushed through my hair, leaving it straight, and put on some eyeliner and mascara. I stepped out of the bathroom and picked out an outfit consisting of a black Nirvana shirt, a black winter coat the went down to about my knees ripped jeans, my waterproof hiking boots, and a black beanie. I checked my appearance one more time before grabbing my phone and money and going back downstairs.
"Everyone ready?" I asked once I reached the bottom of the stairs.
"Yup," Harper stated and looped her arm around mine.
We waltzed to the door and when Jet opened it, I was woken up with a blast of cold air. It then surrounded me when we were outside, trudging through the snow to the movie theater.
"Th-this was a b-bad idea," Addi said, her teeth chattering from the cold biting our noses and our ears.
"Why didn't I bring gloves?" I asked myself and rubbed my hands together, hoping the friction would create some heat. No luck.
After walking in the snow for another 15 minutes, the winds roaring in our ears, we finally got there, runny noses and watering eyes.
The warmth hit us like a brick wall when we stepped inside. The lobby was dimly lit with big posters of the latest movies coming out. It smelt faintly of buttered popcorn and cherry coke.
"Finally! I thought we were going to freeze to death!" exclaimed Austin.
"Yeah, whose smart idea was that?" Michael asked sarcastically, shooting a smirk at Ian.
"Hey, I was kidding!" he said and held his hands up in defeat.
"Why is it so empty?" Harper asked. I had noticed it too. It was only us, a couple about our age probably on a date or something, and a bored looking worker behind the ticket booth.
"Probably because it is a snow day and no one in their right mind would walk all the way to a movie theater," explained Emma, nudging Harper. Harper nudged back.
"Good thing we're all mental," I stated. We all laughed.
"Should we get tickets now?" Addi asked.
