A string of curses rung out of my mouth. They were dead. I looked at Eric. He ran a rough hand through is disheveled brown hair, thinking intently.
"What do we do?" I ask pacing.
"We throw them in the chasm. It will look like an accident. People will think they were fighting too close to the edge." He suggested and started dragging Molly's body to the lip of the chasm.
"Are you sure this is a good idea?" I ask rolling Peter's body next to Molly.
"Was almost getting yourself killed a good idea?" He snaps at me and we freeze, hearing voices.

"Just do it, now." He commands and we push them off the edge. I look over the edge of the chasm at their retreating bodies. What had we just done? I felt numb, I think. I wasn't really sure what I was feeling. I hadn't realised the voices had almost entered the room, but Eric had. He grabbed my wrist and pulled me along behind him leading me to a unknown area of the compound. Opening a door he pushed me into an apartment, hastily closing the door. The apartment looked shockingly like my room back at Candor. Nothing personal anywhere, neat and clean, dark furniture. I stare off into the distance trying to clear my mind. Everything is so muggy and I can't seem to get a clear picture of what's running around my head. Am I in shock? I'm not shaking so maybe not. *snap* I looked up.
"Hello, Candor, are you home?" Eric was waving a hand in front of my face. I scowled.
"I'm not a fucking Candor."
"She speaks, she also swears." He looked directly into my eyes a change from before.
"Are you okay?" Who the hell does he think he is? Rage overcame me.
"Why do you care?" I spit my words venomously at him.
"I asked you a question. I expect you to answer." He said sternly keeping himself surprisingly level headed.
"What in faction's name makes you think you have the right to know how I feel? You haven't spoken to me all week." I say incredulously.
"That's because you're hurting my reputation."
"What are you talking about?" I'm not even connected to his reputation.
"I'm gonna need a drink for this. You?" He stood up and I nodded. Escaping sounds like a good idea right now. He walked over to a small fridge and pulled out two bottle passing one to me. Looking at the lid I realise I've never seen one like this before. I try pulling it off and I try twisting it but nothing seems to be working. Eric noticed my struggle and held a hand out. I was hesitant trying one more tine before I pass it to him but I just ended up cutting myself. He popped the lid off with ease and I took a large gulp of the burning liquor, scrunching my face at the sour taste. This is strong stuff, takes the edge off almost instantly. I suck the blood off my hand to prevent making a mess and look to Eric encouraging him to speak. He doesn't get the picture.
"How am I ruining your reputation?" I prompt him.
"Right, well, you remember when I convinced you I wasn't an asshat?" He asks kind of nervous.
"Didn't work, still not convinced. But yes." I nonchalantly answer taking another swig of the bottle.
"Well Four saw me kiss your shoulder, and let's just say that's some dirt that could ruin me." He says taking a long drink from his bottle and I cough surprised that Four would do something like that. I saw the way he looked at Abnegation. They must have something going on.
"Do you pay attention to anything?" I question and he just shrugs.
"Four has a thing with Abnegation!" I exclaim.
"What, the stiff? You must be drunk already." I was insulted that he didn't believe me.
"I'm being serious." I place my bottle on the floor. He seemed to sober up a bit to this.
"Oh that information will prove to be extremely useful." A concerning look taking over his face.
"I'm going to leave now." I get up and head to the door but Eric grabs my arm.
"No. You didn't answer my question." Shit, I forgot that we just killed two people. Well technically he did.

"Fine." I snap shrugging out of his grip and sitting back down.

"I'm absolutely a okay. Can I go now?" I lie.

"You're a crappy Candor, you know that? Now answer me honestly." I didn't want to, my feelings kinda make me look psycho, but I know he won't give up and we are kind of in the same boat now. taking a deep breath I let him in my head.
"I don't feel anything about what happened. I know I should be sad or shocked or maybe even some sympathy, they weren't even divergents, I might've been a little happy then-"

"Wait. Divergents? What do you know about them?" He asks eyeing me suspiciously. I suddenly felt uncomfortable.
"Just because we're partners in crime does not mean I'm going to give you my whole life story."
"I didn't ask for it. I asked what you know about divergents. I need to know what you know." He was now kneeling in front of me gripping my shoulders. I bit my lip to keep from crying out in pain. He looks me in the eye.

"All I know is that they're bad people, they can't be trusted, they don't conform to the factions... and they killed my family." I looked away and he grip loosened.
"Seems like we share quite a bit in common, they killed my Dad and my sister."

"Can I go now?" I ask, not wanting to have anymore deep discussion.

"No, you're staying here, tonight, can't have you getting killed, take the couch." He says letting go of my shoulders and walking to what I assume was a room.

"Oh and if it makes you sleep any better, I don't feel anything about the either. I guess we're both monsters." He turned the lights out and left.
