Hey guys!! I'm glad you're still reading it means so much to me. Apologies for the shortish chapter. Another Eric POV? I think yes! Peace to all, even if you're not Amity. :) :)

---------------------------------Eric's POV
Ritza had managed to trip over thin air and couldn't even stand up properly. I felt kind of bad for giving her this much to drink, wait, no I don't, this is hilarious.
"That would be gooood, I'm not meaaaant to be hereeee." She replies after I comment on her likeliness to fall into the chasm. I carry her to my bed and ask, knowingly taking advantage of her drunken state. But what could I do? I was an Erudite, I burn for information I shouldn't know.
"What do you mean?"
"I'm no Dauuuuntless." She slurs and closes her eyes leaving me in confusion.
"Hey! Ritza." I shake her gently and she reopens her eyes.
"What are you then?" I ask concerned, she couldn't be a divergent could she? No, she hated them as much as I did. What if she didn't know she was divergent?
"I'm Aaaaamity, a meaty, am eating, amia-" I put a finger against her lips. She was rambling but almost instantaneously fell asleep when she stopped speaking. I an left with my thoughts. Why was she in Dauntless if she was Amity? Was she a spy? I am going to have to do some research on this matter. I took the train to the Erudite side of the city. It was a route I had taken hundreds of times before, going back at all hours of the night to qaqget in some research, I may be Dauntless but I was smart enough to know that Erudite had plans and I planned on being on the winning side, like I planned Ritza being on. I jumped off the train rolling on the ground to break my fall. Despite the late hour of the night the Erudite compound was open and alive. They had begun to take serums that allowed to stay awake for nights and nights on end in order to do more research. I transferred about a month after they started using them and the affects on the users were shocking. They became addicted and went crazy when they couldn't afford more. I pushed aside those memories as I enter the building and the familiar smell of books and knowledge fills my nose. Opening the closest computer I search up Ritza Celeda on the database. A few things come up from her last name. Mainly articles on her parents death I longed to read them but I did not have the time tonight. I skipped past them until I found a video labelled 'Maritza Celeda's big slip up.'
At first I was unsure as to whether it was actually her, but I then saw her face in the video wearing a black and white dress. I had no idea her name was actually Maritza, she'd never mentioned it, although I don't think I would've mentioned something like that if it never came up. Watching the video I tried not to laugh at her expression upon realising that she picked the wrong bowl. I made a note of the young man who distracted her. Reece Tulloch. I'm sure he was going to come up again some time in the near future. Everything she said starts to make sense. The only thing that's so out of place is why she is on the top of the board, she's clearly an Amity and they're all about peace why is she so ruthless then? On the train home I struggle to wrap my head around this situation. When I get back it's about three in the morning and Ritza is still sound asleep on my bed. I've never been in this situation before so I'm a little unsure of how to proceed. In the end I decided it would be best if I took her back to the initiate quarters. I try to carry her there without bumping in to anyone, but my I was out of luck.
"Eric?! Why are you carrying around an initiate at this time of night?" It was Max.
"She was passed out by the chasm." I make up hoping I look convincing enough in the low light.
"Why didn't you leave her there? If the initiate dies she dies." He shakes his head disappointingly.
"This is the initiate I was telling you about." I say shifting Ritza in my arms.
"You mean that this little girl is at the top of the board? And just how will she be an asset to us?" I knew that he is thinking that I'm an idiot but he hasn't seen her in action like I have.
"One, she was at the bottom on her first day, within less then a week she made it to the top. Two she's as ruthless as I am." I hoped I had convinced him.
"Fine. But she's your responsibility, if she screws up, you're both out." He states simply and walks off. Entering quietly I place her down gently on her bed feeling a little empty without her in my arms. I kiss her forehead and leave swiftly. I start to feel tired on my way back, but as I lay in bed I feel no closer to sleep than I was an hour ago.
