I had a tough night. Barely a night rather. I went to bed after four and didn't sleep until seven. Then I woke up at nine.

As my daily routine still continues, I check my mail on my new Mac. I have decided to cancel the meditation for today because I'm guessing Jason didn't get any sleep either so I might as well let him rest.

Ugh. Now the WiFi isn't working. Great.

I don't want to disturb Jason but I really need to check my mail. So I make my way to his room and see him snoring nicely. Wow. He ruins my sleep and gets to pass out that way? That's fair.

I can't find any modem or anything like that, so when I see his iPad laying beside him, I switch it on to see if it the WiFi is working on it. As soon as I switch it on, his notepad comes up and he has written stuff on it.

Should I read it? No! I can't intrude his privacy like that. But then he won't confide in me otherwise... I guess I'll just have a glance. I open the latest entry, which was written last night after we talked.

"God: The bartender who mixes two ingredients together, the cocktail they form together being their life. He found the other half to his cocktail, they blended perfectly together. They complimented each others' spirits. He swam in her, she swam in him, forgetting their individual abysmal taste. Without his other half, the cocktail would be plain bitter. But with her, it's a perfect balance of sweet, sour and salty. However, God despised their flavour. So he ruthlessly distilled her from the cocktail, leaving it as bitter as possible."

Wow.

The other entries are also similar deep stuff.

But seriously, why are they getting this guy to paint when he can write so well?

At that point, the doorbell rings so I leave the iPad there and go out to open the door.

Wow. I'm in my PJs and a tank top with my hair in a bun and here on my doorstep is Bryce Howard, in his three piece suit.

"Pepper!"he says, smiling at me.

"Mr Howard! Er... sorry, Bryce!"I say.

He just laughs and says,"I'm sorry for coming so early in the morning. But I have to get to my office."

"Oh, its okay. Not an issue. Come on in."I say as I lead him to the living room and gesture him to sit. "Coffee?"I ask.

"No, that's alright, I already had my tea. Where's Jason?"he asks.

"Snoring in his room."

"Should have guessed."he says shaking his head.

"So what brings you here?"I say, taking a seat in front of him.

"Oh just checking up on my employees."he says.

At this point, Jason comes out of his room stretching his arms and yawning, in his daily morning attire: his boxers. That's it.

"Jason! There's a girl present here, is this how you present yourself?"Bryce exclaims.

"Pretty much everyday."I say.

"Gang up against me you two, won't you?"Jason says.

"Wow."Bryce says, his eyes widening at Jason. "He actually replied to something I said. Good work so far, Pepper!"

Seriously? He sees a change in Jason? Well I clearly don't, but his comment makes me smile.

"Anyway, what really brings me here is to inform you that next month I have a business trip to Paris. I'd like you two to join me. I'll be busy with my work mostly but Jason here can show you around his favorite galleries, won't you, Jason?"he says.

Oh my god! Paris! I'm not one of those girls who would jump on getting to visit Paris because of the coutures and designer clothing. I badly want to go there because of its beauty and cultures and everything.

"Wow! I'd love to come along!"I say clapping my hands like a baby.

Jason's reaction was totally opposite to mine.

He had been drinking water out of a bottle and he actually spat some of it out when he heard Bryce.

"Of course your tickets and rooms will be taken care of."Bryce adds.

"No. Not happening."Jason says.

"Jason, don't be such a brat! You need a change!"Bryce says.

"And I might even let you drink while we're there."I say. I'm not going to let this opportunity slip out of my hands!

"Fine!"he says at last.

Yay!
