Ashton's POV
I pushed the last book into its slot on the shelf and stood back and admired my work. I had just finished stacking all the books in shop in alphabetical order which took me a good few hours and I hoped that my boss was satisfied with my effort.

The shop bell dinged and my eyes darted towards the door. A tall boy walked in. His dirty blonde hair was styled up effortlessly in a quiff and he was wearing ripped, black, skinny jeans and a red checkered flannel. He was tall and skinny and his posture make him seem shy and nervous. His lip ring caught my attention and I finally looked up to meet his eyes. His eyes were an ocean blue and had me frozen in trance.

He coughed awkwardly, breaking me out of my trance. I bashfully smiled, my cheeks flushing a faint red.

"Hey I'm Ashton! Can I help you?" I asked the boy, now in my work character.

"Yeh...Um I was looking for a book called Macbeth... It's for my English class.. Do you have it?" The blue eyed boy stuttered.

"Let me have a look" I replied smiling widely, hoping to make him feel less nervous.

He shyly mumbled a "thanks" and rocked back and forth on his heels as he waited for me to search for the book.
I was glad I had just arranged the books in alphabetical order as it made my search a whole lot quicker. I traced my finger along the spines of the books trying to find the book the boy requested.

"So what's your name?" I asked him, trying to make small talk.

"Luke" he answered then looked down at his feet.

"I'm Ashton" I told him grinning.

Luke smiled in response, dimples showing on either side of his cheeks.

I had to tear my eyes away from him as I went back to scanning the book shelf. I eventually found 'Macbeth' and I tugged it out it's space on the shelf and made my way over to the cash register. Luke approached the till as I scanned the book.

I looked up at Luke to catch him staring at me before he quickly diverted his eyes, a crimson colour appearing on his cheeks.

"£5:99" I told Luke.

He gave a small nod and reached into his pocket to pull out his wallet. As he did, the wallet opened up and coins fell all over the floor, clinking as they hit the ground and rolling away in all directions.

"Oh my god" Luke mumbled extremely embarrassed as he knelt on the floor, frantically trying to pick up all the coins.

I rushed round from the counter and tried to help Luke pick up his money. I reached for a coin and as I did Luke also reached for the same coin, our hands brushed off each other. I felt a warm tingling when Luke's hand touched mine and I looked up, unfortunately Luke did the same and our heads hit together.

"Ouch" I groaned as I rubbed my now bruising head.
Luke's face was a deep shade of red as he repeatedly said the word "sorry"

"No, no it was my fault" I told him trying to make things less embarrassing.

Luke gave a small smile before standing up with the book in his grasp. "Keep the change" he said scratching the back of his neck nervously before turning and leaving the shop, leaving me a flustered mess on the floor.
