“Please!” I beg my boyfriend, Niall. He’s very stubborn

“I don’t think it’s a good idea.” He retorts, trying to pull me away from the tattoo and piercing parlor

“Come on, I’ve never done anything bad. I won’t change at all.” I whine slightly

“I don’t have a tattoo or a piercing, you don’t see me complaining.” He says with a laugh at the end, he can’t ever stop laughing.

“I already have my ears pierced, but I think two would be so cool!” I get excited and he looks at me funny

“Can’t we just go to dinner?” Niall states, trying to change the subject

“No. I’m going to go in and get the piercing. You can stay out here, or come in with me. Your choice.” I turn on my heels and step into the very creepy parlor

“What’ll it be?” A woman asks, making me jump at her sudden outburst

“I’d like another piercing, here.” I comment, showing her my ear

“Alright. Someone will be with you shortly.” The woman grumbles, leaving the room

“Please Adriane.” Niall says as I turn to the sound of his voice

“I’ll be fine, really.” I smile, running my hands along his arms, trying any way I can to soothe his nerves

“Miss.” A man cuts our conversation off, “We’re ready for you.”

“Come with me. I’ll show you it’s not so bad.” I smile, taking his hand

“Okay.” Niall breathes out and I pull him with me down the hall

I sit in a chair and the man hands me a plate with different kinds of earrings on it. I smile when I see a small heart stud. I pick it up and place it in his hands.

“Nice choice.” He sighs, spinning in his chair to grab the gun. Niall watches in horror. I grab his hand and intertwine our fingers

“This might hurt a little at first.” The man comments, bringing the gun close to my ear

Niall bites his lip nervously, looking at me. I sigh as the gun is placed above my other earring, I wince when it goes all the way through. The man places a backing on my ear, and cleans it up with the alcohol.

“All done. Make sure to not take the earring out for a few weeks. Make sure to clean every so often.”

“Okay, thank you.” I get out of the chair and turn to see Niall not so nervous anymore

I pay the woman and we step out into the fresh air, I feel amazing.

“You okay?” I ask Niall

“Perfect. I actually like it.” He smiles, pulling me close to him, kissing right under my ear

“See? It wasn’t so bad.” I giggle, pushing him away

“I guess not.” He grins before we enter the restaurant

I might have a new piercing, but with my amazing boyfriend I’ll always stay the same
