Sorry it took so long, I really hope you like it!

“Savannah! Come here!” My mom yells angrily

I sigh and walk down the stairs slowly

“You are in big trouble!” My father roars

“What?! I’ve been doing perfectly fine in school. I don’t have a boyfriend to distract me-”

Which is a lie. My grades in school have been slipping, and my ex boyfriend Jason keeps coming back to me, even though he cheats on me all the time.

I also have been meeting with this really cute guy in my history class, Liam. He is really cute and loves to have a good chat

“I don’t want you seeing Jason anymore. He’s a bad influence” My mom warns

“I know that! I have been trying to stay away from him. Look, I have to go. I’m meeting my friend so we can study for the huge test we have on Friday”

“Fine. Be back by dinner” My mom frowns

I storm out of the house. I’m so not coming home by dinner

I cling my bag closer to me as I walk down the cold streets. When I reach the coffee shop, I already see Liam through the window

“Hi beautiful!” He greets me happily

“Hi Liam” I sigh

“What’s wrong?” He looks at me worriedly

“Nothing. The weather is just horrid today” I smile slightly

“Oh. Okay. Can I get you a drink?” He asks sweetley

“No. I can get it. Don’t worry” I laugh as I walk up to the counter, ordering a latte

I sit back down and get out my history book and my notes from the last few weeks. I open it to chapter 12. My name gets called and I grab my coffee, making sure not to spill it

“Where should we start. I mean, Civil War is a huge chapter to cover-”

“Savannah, can I ask you something?” He looks at me

“Sure Liam, anything” I eye him

“I know we’ve had a lot of study dates. I was hoping we could have a real one”

I look at him confused “Oh, I’m sorry. Just forget I said anything-”

“Liam” I take my hand in his “I’d love to”

“Really!? Yes!” He jumps a little, relief washing over him

I giggle. My smile quickly turns to a frown as I see Jason walk in the now quiet shop

“Savannah! What the hell are you doing?!” He yells

“Oh no” I sigh. Liam looks at me and stands up

“Excuse me. But Savannah is a little busy right now. So if you could talk to her later-”

“Was I talking to you pretty boy! No” Jason spats in Liam’s face

Liam looks taken back. He grabs Jason’s wrist “If you could please leave-”

Then all I see is Liam being pushed backwards “Jason! What the hell is the matter with you!” I get in his face

“You get angry when I go out. I am not cheating on you like you have on me. I deserve better. You are disgusting. I never want to see you again”

Jason looks at me and walks off. I help Liam up

“Are you okay?” I ask him

“You deserve better” He eyes me

“I know. I have it right in front of me” I walk back to the table and I pick up my things

“I have to go” I frown

“The least I can do is give you a ride” Liam stops me

“Okay” I smile at him

I had a very comfortable ride with Liam. I say goodbye to him and I walk inside greeted by my parents

“Honey, are you okay?” My mom asks

“Yeah. I just ran into Jason at the coffee shop” I say bluntly

“What happened?” My dad asks worriedly

“He was being a jerk, but my friend Liam helped me out”

“Liam?” My dad asks

“Who’s Liam?” My mom adds

“He’s a friend. I’m going on a date with him this weekend” I smile

“He isn’t trouble?” My parents eye me

“No. He’s perfect”
