Oh no. This girl that hates my guts, Brooke walks in

“Hey loser! Had any death threats yet?” She asks me

I just start drawing and not say a word

“Do you mind if I sit here?” I look up and see a boy that shouldn’t be talking to me

“Sure Liam” I smile at him

We start painting. Why is Liam talking to me? I am a shy nobody. He’s a popular, cute guy

“Class! Pick a partner for the next project. It’s due next friday!”

“Partners?” Liam asks me

“Sure” I smile at him

“So, where are you thinking of going to college?” I ask him

“I actually was going try out for the X Factor”

“Oooh! Cool! You're going to win” I grin

Nice. Way to make it awkward

“I was going to go to a school in California. Maybe get a good job out there” I smile

“You seem sure of yourself”

“I’m not sure of myself. I just know what I want”

Brooke walks over to us

“Hey Liam. Want to go out on friday?” She looks desperate for his attention

“No. I can’t sorry” He replies

She gasps “Ugh! You're going to date Megan! Not me!”

“Actually. I am”

What!? I look up at him

Brooke walks away devistated

“You really meant what you said back there?” I ask him as I paint my sunset

“Yeah. I’ve liked you for a while. I’ve never had the courage to ask you”

“You. Modest?” I laugh a little

“I just didn’t want to ruin it for you”

I walk up to him and kiss him

“Believe me. you didn’t ruin it”

“So, is that a yes?”

“Of course”
