"Wh-what did you say?" I asked, he chuckled, softly licking my earlobe.

"I always get what I want." He repeated, it set chills down my spine.

"Oh." was all I managed to spit out, apparently he found this amusing. That pissed me off. Alistair rolled over, putting me on top of him instead. I jumped to my feet and walked backwards a few steps, plopping myself onto his bed.

"So. Awkward..." I said, he got to his feet and sat in the hall.

"Why?" He asked, tilting his head slightly. I hated myself for thinking it was cute.

"Because. It's not everyday a jock says he... wants... you." I explained, he smirked again. Ugh that smirk is going to be the death of me.

"Well there's a first for everything." He chuckled, I clenched my fist tightly. I know Mr.Lewis said no violence but the guy deserves a throat punch. And a lot more.

"So then. How about we get back to work on that project?" He asked, I nodded and took out my notebook.

"Do you want to ask me now?" I asked, he shrugged and walked over to me, plopping down on the floor.

"Do you think vampires are real?" I nodded enthusiastically.

"Of course I do. I'm into that kinda stuff. Gory, creepy, bloody things are just my style. And I would kill to meet one." I was fangirling and he just laughed at my sudden outburst. I laughed with him and finally sighed.

"But with my luck I'm never going to." He stood up and sat next to me, giving me a sweet smile.

"I'm sure you will eventually." I wasn't so sure of that but didn't argue, I was just too tired.

"Sure, I need to get home though. Could you drive me?" I asked him, he nodded and we went out to his car. I sat down in the passenger seat and before I could blink we were already on the road.

I hummed quietly to myself as we passed through the trees and into the town I so much hated, soon arriving at the apartment complex I call home.

"Thanks." I said, opening the door, Alistair pulled on my arm.

"Will I see you tomorrow?" What is wrong with this guy? I nodded and walked into the building, waving goodbye to Alistair as he pulled away.

I walked up to my apartment and opened the door. Mom was home. Great. "Naomi! You're home!" My mother exclaimed, engulfing me into a bear hug. Ugh. "Hey mom." I manage to say, she let me go and I gasped for air.

"How was school? Did you go to a friends house? Did you eat enough?" Ugh. Too many damn questions. I took in a deep breath.

"School was fine mom. I guess you could call him that-"

"You met a boy?!?" I sighed deeply and shook my head.

"No mom. He's just a friend." She giggled and rolled her eyes at me.

"Naomi, I said the same thing to my mother about your father." Of course she did. I'm just that lucky. I sighed again and dragged myself to my room, tossing my bag into a corner and flopping onto my bed, falling asleep as soon as my head hit the sheets.

My alarm clock blared a Justin Timberlake song that annoyed the hell out of me, I slammed my fist against the snooze button and sat up. With lazy steps, I made my way to my closet and got dressed, slipping on my sneakers and tossing my backpack onto one of my shoulders. The same routine every morning and yet I still end up coming too close to being late. My mother was dancing around in the kitchen as per usual and sang along with the opera on tv. How she was my mother was beyond me.

"Hey mom, I'm borrowing your car today." I called, she stopped dancing and looked at me.

"No. That Alistair boy is in the lot waiting for you." I jumped a bit and ran to the window that overlooked the parking lot, and there he was. His red chariot ready to drive me away. I groaned and walked out the door, heading down the stairwell and into the lot.

"Are you kidding me?" I asked Alistair, tossing my bag at him and slipping into the passenger seat. He shrugged and started the car.

"You need a ride, don't you?" He asked with a smile. I huffed and he took it as a yes.

I now have an understanding of just how much I hate this guy. My train of thought was erupted by a loud horn which I soon realized it was Alistair himself.

"If you can't drive then get your ass off the road!" He shouted out the window, I saw who he was talking to. A scrawny man with a scruffed up face walked up to the car and began hitting it with his boot. I heard a low growl from Alistair and saw him burst out the door, nailing the guy square in the nose. I held back a laugh when I saw the guys face, blood slowly seeping out his nose.

"Can we go now? We're going to be late." I called out, Alistair gave me an annoyed look and spat on the guy.

"Don't touch my car." He sneered, retreating back to the driver's seat. Impressive. He lost his temper and I found it priceless. He took in a deep breath and curved around the guy, who hadn't moved an inch, and continued on the road to school. The rest of the trip was silent, but I kept getting that feeling in my stomach that I was being watched. I caught a glimpse of Alistair looking over at me from time to time, but it wasn't him, it was someone or something else.

I shook it off as we got to the school, grabbing my backpack and stepping out of the car. I was instantly surrounded by random people, yipping and talking gossip. I was relieved when I felt Alistair pull me from the circle that surrounded his car.

"Sorry. Forgot about them." He said, I shrugged and walked up to the doors.

"Are you and Alis dating?" There was a small girl in front of me, I laughed a bit until I felt an arm wrap around my waist.

"Yes. Yes he is." I felt my blood temperature rise to boiling. He sure did have some nerve. I swatted at his arm and smiled, taking in a deep breath.

"Wow. You're so lucky." The girl said, I heard Alistair chuckle.

"Yay me." I sneered, walking into the building angrily.

I was pulled roughly into a corner and yelped a bit out of surprise.

"We need to talk." I turned around sharply to see my friend Mishiko, the tint of anger in her voice told me I was in trouble.

"Um... Hey Mishell..." I said shyly, she glared.

"You know that I like him. What'd you do to him? Did you use your emo magic?" I laughed a bit at her assumption.

"If you're talking about meathead then I'll let you know, we aren't anywhere near a thing." She stood still, and I didn't realize until I heard his deep voice for myself.

"Naomi! There you are." Alistair just had a thing for wrong timing.

"Mishiko, I can explain." I said hurriedly, she rolled her eyes.

"I'm sure you could." Mishell sneered, pushing past me and Alistair, I glared at him.

"I fucking hate you." I spat at him, he smiled.

"No you don't."
