When realization hit me like a brick I wasn't so sure love was what Alistair and I felt for each other. It was only desire, or maybe even just compulsion with a mixture of lust. Either way, it was something, just not something I ideally wanted to have. With that in mind I leaned back against Alistair's chest, mapping out a way to get the truth for myself.
"Whatcha thinking about?" Alistair asked, breaking my concentration. I blushed softly and smiled a little.
"Nothing really, just what my mom's gonna say." I lied, poking his nose. He scrunched up his nose and smiled a little, rubbing my back a little.
"You and me both." He chuckled and pulled into the apartment's parking lot, kissing my cheek and smiling. I let out a shaky sigh and opened the car door, moving out of Alistair's lap and moving some hair from my face.
"This'll be fun." I mumbled, grabbing his hand and walking up the staircase to my front door. I sighed and looked up at Alistair and smiled, opening the door.
"My mother's gonna murder your scrawny vampire ass." I giggled, pulling him inside. Alistair choked a little on his breathing and looked at me.
"W-Why?" He asked, I grinned and poked his nose as I walked over to the kitchen and sitting on the counter.
"You, mister, took my innocence." I said with a giggle, kicking my feet and looking over to the bathroom, where my mother was. I looked back at Alistair and smiled when I noticed his tense features, rubbing the back of his neck. I giggled a little and pulled him over to me and smiled, grabbing his chin and pulling him closer to me.
"You didn't seem to mind when it happened, why so tense now?" I hummed, Alistair blushed softly and rested his hands on each side of me.
"W-Well, your mom is in the other room." He replied softly, moving closer to me.
"So?" I asked, pressing my nose against his and smiling smugly. Alistair placed his hand firmly on the back of my head, pushing my lips against his and grabbing my left wrist. I clutched the edge of the countertop and hummed against his lips, wrapping my free arm around his neck and pulling him closer. He slowly ran a hand through my hair and licked over my bottom lip softly. I obediently parted my lips and held back a moan as he pushed his tongue inside my mouth.
"Naomi Zachary Carter what on earth are you doing?" I hear my mother's stern voice and suddenly break the kiss, panting softly and keeping my grasp on Alistair's shirt. I gave him a pleading look and he sighed.
"I-I'm sorry that you-"
"Hush child, I want to talk to my son." She interrupted Alistair's apology, looking at me.
"Naomi, explain." She stated, looking at me. I wrapped my arms around Alistair's torso and looked over at my mother, pulling him against the counter and blushing softly
"I have a boyfriend, and I love him and he loves me. I spent my entire weekend with him and plan to show a lot of PDA, especially with you around." I said with a small voice, all the tension faded from my mother's face and she giggled.
"Oh hun, you think I didn't know where you were? Altair is quite the snitch." She grinned. I groaned and nuzzled my face into Alistair's chest. I felt his arm wrap around my back and pull me slightly closer.
"Doubt you heard about me losing my virginity though." I mumbled, peering at my mother's shocked face through Alistair's arm.
"YOU DID WHAT NOW?!" She exclaimed, running a hand through her hair. That's a bad sign. I tightened my grip on Alistair's shirt and slowly started to tremble, burying my face in his chest.
"I slept with my boyfriend." I replied quietly, feeling an arm on my shoulder and jumping a little. I moved my face from Alistair's chest and saw my mother, MY MOTHER, holding Alistair by the collar of his shirt and glaring him down, her hand gripping his shirt.
"Naomi, you're grounded, Alistair, you're not coming near this apartment building until my son's ungrounded." She instructed sternly, I wrapped my legs around Alistair's waist and sent my mother a stern look.
"No."
"Excuse me mister."
"You heard me, I said no." I could tell Alistair was feeling awkward in this situation by his complete silence this entire time. I could also almost see the anger coming off of my mother, her eyes locking with mine, but I show no emotion on my face.
"You're the one who told me that I should get out there and explore around, I was only doing as told. So if you're looking to blame someone it's no one's fault but yours." I said, keeping my voice steady. What surprised me was actually what Alistair did, even though I'm sure he knew my mother was pissed with him he turned, looked at her and grinned.
"At least you get to skip having 'the talk' with him." He shrugged, and my mother's response was a laugh. I blinked and stared in disbelief as my mother and my lover had a casual conversation, tensing when she mentioned something about me as an infant.
"Okay then! I'm glad you two get along." I said, trying to end their conversation and getting off the counter. Alistair chuckled in response and took a seat at the dining table, looking at me.
"I'm sorry if I'm bothering, just Mish, your son, and I were at the mall and he wanted to come home." He smiled softly, my mother nodded.
"You're fine dear, just leave the door open if you two go in the bedroom." She smiled, walking into the kitchen and starting to cook dinner. I roll my eyes and grab Alistair by the collar of his shirt, dragging him to my bedroom. I tossed him out of my grasp and pointed to my bed, glaring at him.
"Sit. and stay there until further notice." I said, he smiled and slowly got up, sitting on the bed and looking at me.
"Why bring me in here?" He asked, tilting his head a little. I smiled and sat next to him, grabbing his chin and placing my forehead against his.
"Because, I'm not letting you befriend momzilla while in my presence." I stated, looking into his electrifying blue eyes. Alistair chuckled and planted a soft kiss on my forehead, making me smile.
As you wish, my prince."
