My head was pounding against my skull it seemed, causing a major migraine and my vision to slightly blur when I slowly opened my eyes and took in a short breath.
"Please be ok." I heard a whisper from beside me, and my hand lifting from the soft sheets beneath me. I slowly moved my head to see Alistair sitting beside me, gently squeezing my hand and mumbling something to himself. I softly squeezed his hand back and breathed in through my lips as they slightly parted and formed a small smile, My heart skipping a beat when my eyes connected with his. Alistair stared at me and smiled, getting to his feet and kissing the top of my head.
"Thank god you're ok." He said, his voice slightly raspy. I slowly stroked his cheek with my thumb and he rested his forehead against mine.
"W-What happened?" I asked in a whisper, closing my eyes and sighing softly. I felt him shake his head 'no' against my forehead and grabbing my hand, intertwining our fingers. I didn't want this moment to end, because as soon as he shook his head I got small pictures in my mind, playing back the past events that had landed me here with Alistair in a hospital bed. And it hurt, it made my migraine worse and my heart began to ache, once again letting tears roll down my cheeks.
"I-I'm all alone." I said through sobs, opening my eyes and looking into Alistair's pale blue ones. He sat beside me and shook his head, pulling me up and wrapping his arms around me.
"No, no you're not Naomi. You still have Mishell, and you still have me." He whispered, rocking me softly and keeping his touch gentle. I clutched his shirt tightly and closed my eyes again, tears streaming and damping Alistair's shirt.
"You'll be ok, I'll be sure to make everything ok." He whispered, pecking my cheek and hushing me soothingly. I let out a cough and started focusing more on my breathing, slowly gaining control over my breaths once again and looking at him.
"I love you." I said, my voice hoarse. Alistair smiled softly and ran his thumb across my cheek, pecking my lips softly and resting his forehead against mine again.
"I love you too." He replied, running a hand through my hair. I smiled a little and rested my arms on his shoulders, closing my eyes.
"What are we gonna do tomorrow?" I asked, with a small laugh, Alistair chuckled a little.
"Well, you're staying with me, and you're not going to school tomorrow." He said with a smile, looking at our intertwined fingers. I squeezed his hand a little and started to doze off a little, jumping when I almost fell off the bed.
"But for now, sleep. Those painkillers they gave you are sure to make you slightly drowsy." He said, laying me back down slowly. I gripped his shirt before he could stand up and looked at him sleepily.
"Cuddle." I stated, pulling on his shirt. He smiled and laid beside me slowly, pulling me to his chest gently and wrapping his arms around me.
"Happy?" He asked with a chuckle. I nodded and nuzzled his chest, holding onto his shirt as I slowly dozed off, loving the feeling of his eyes on me as I fell asleep.

~Alistair's perspective~
As Naomi slept in my arms I let my forced smile fade back into the frown it had once been, hoping to myself I could stay true to my words and make everything ok, but that's a promise I shouldn't have made in the first place. With the news I was suppose to give him when he woke setting heavily on my shoulders I doubt I could come to tell him, especially since he had just lost his mother.
I shook my head a little and moved him closer to my chest, running my hand through his hair slowly and sighing sadly.
"I shouldn't have met you, you wouldn't be in this mess if you hadn't." I whisper, placing a soft kiss on his forehead. I slowly pulled my arm out from under him and loosened his grip on my shirt so I could stand. Once I got back on my feet I moved some hair from his face and kissed his cheek, setting my jacket in the chair beside him and walking out of the room.
"I'll be back soon." I whispered, heading out of the hospital with my gaze to the floor. As I walked out of the building the chill air pricked at my cheeks, the unusually cold weather slightly rising alarm to my senses. I shrugged it off and started my way to a nearby cafe' in hopes for some energy, with the lack in my diet it was getting a little hard to stay focused on the important things.
I sent Mishell a text to meet up with me in the cafe', glad to be away from the hospital and from the scent of what I craved most. I took a step inside the building and sat down beside a window, waiting for Mishell to show as I toyed around with my fangs. When she finally stepped into the shop and took a seat in front of me she stared at me with a blank expression.
"How is he?" Mishell asked, I looked at her and sighed.
"He's fine for now, I just... I don't know what to do." I ran a hand through my hair slowly and tapped my fingers against the wooden table, my eyes roaming around the shop. Mishell smiled and poked my cheeks, laughing a bit.
"Focus on the positive Alistair, otherwise the negative will take over." She said with a small smile, I moved her finger from my cheek and chuckled a bit.
"I'll try that, but for now I just want Naomi to have a friend to talk to." She blushed softly and giggled.
"Ya know, the way you got him wasn't a good way, but you're such a sweetheart when it comes to his needs." She said, grabbing her coat and standing. I blushed softly and followed her actions, getting to my feet. I could see why she said it, I will admit they way I basically shoved myself onto Naomi wasn't called for and rather stupid of me, but the way I felt I hadn't felt in a long time. My intentions were better than my actions, but what's been done has been done. If only it were that simple though.
"He's in room 352." I said, walking into the hospital building with Mishell by my side. She nodded and ran ahead of me, earning an eyeroll from me as I ran after her. After we both got to the room Naomi was already awake and sitting up in bed with a bored expression, I smiled and walked over to him, sitting down.
"You left." He mumbled, moving his gaze to meet mine. I kissed his hand and flinched at the sudden squeal, glaring in Mishell's direction.
"He went to get me." She giggled, running over to him and engulfing him into a hug. Naomi squirmed under her and tried to sit up again.
"Unhand me women!" He shouted, making me laugh a little. Mishell giggled and pulled away, sitting in the empty chair beside me.
"Sorry, you're just so huggable." Mishell replied, poking his cheek. Naomi wrapped his arm around my torso and nuzzled my side, making me blush.
"Leave a note next time you leave." He whispered, i ran a hand through his hair and nodded.
"Will do prince."
