July 10, 54 days till September...

"Mom!" I called walking down the stairs, "Have you seen by blue and white striped tankini?"

I walked into the kitchen to see her cutting up a pineapple.

"Ooh!" I exclaimed and grabbing a couple pieces.

"Emily Grace!" She scolded me swatting my hands away, "You're going to get your hand cut!"

"But it's so good!" I whined smiling at her. She rolled her eyes and continued slicing it up.

I slid onto the counter and turned to her, "Have you seen it?"

"What?" she asked turning to me then a disapproving look made its way on her face.

I sighed and got down. "Sorry," I mumbled before continuing, "And it's my blue and white striped tankini."

"Oh yeah, I saw it. But it looked thin and worn in some areas so I threw it out."

"What!?!" I yelled, "Mom!"

"What?" she asked looking innocent, "I bought you another cute bathing suit. It's in a bag in the living room."

I sighed and stomped in there, frowning when I looked in the bag.

"Mom!" I yelled out again, "This is a bikini!"

"So?"

"So I don't feel comfortable showing that much skin!" I whined.

"You'll be fine," she said and I frowned at her, even though she couldn't see me. I glanced down at it. It was really cute. It was a blue and black plaid pattern with a little ruffle at the top.

I walked upstairs and tried it on. It looked pretty good on me. I turned sideways and sighed.

"Fine," I whispered and slipped on a black top and some cute jean shorts. I threw on my black flip flops, and grabbed my bag.

"I'm heading out!" I called to my mom as I went towards the front door and then out of it, "See you later!"

"I love your bathing suit!" Hannah exclaimed once I shed my shorts and top.

I wrapped my arms around me embarrassed, "Uh, Thank you?"

"Want to go down towards the water?" she asked and my gaze was on the guys down by there.

Noticing my reluctance, she followed my gaze and giggled.

"You aren't scared of a bunch of guys are you?" she teased and my face reddened.

"No!"

"Mhmmmm..." she said and laughed slightly, "So, I was talking to Andrew the other day and apparently it seems that Matt must be really into you."

"Really?" I asked hopefully and my eyes lit up.

She laughed at my expression and nodded, "The four of us should go to a movie together sometime. It'll be like a double date."

"Sounds fun," I commented smiling.

I glanced down towards the water again, growing nervous, "You really want to go down there?"

"Yes! And if you're a good friend you'll come too." She grabbed my arm and started dragging me down.

"Okay!" I said laughing and pulled my arm out of her grasp, "We can go."

As soon as we got down there, she spotted Andrew and ran off leaving me alone.

She glanced behind me though and mouthed, "Matt!" to me and raised her eyebrows. I tilted my head slightly, looking through my hair and I noticed him approaching me.
