The next morning, I woke up feeling relieved and renewed. I felt the side of the bed where Jace was sleeping and he wasn't there. I got up, put on my robe and walked out of my bedroom.

"Jace? Jace are you here?" I asked as I looked around my living room.

"Oh.. I'm in the kitchen!" I heard him say and as he stepped out.

"Hey... what are you doing?" I asked awkwardly. I just met this guy the night before and he was already in my kitchen.

"Cooking breakfast, if that's okay..." he said with a smile.

"Um.. yeah that's fine. This is kinda weird." I said.

"I agree, we did just meet last night and we slept in the same bed. How much weirder can it get?" He asked with a laugh.

"True. So what are you making?" I asked as I stepped into the kitchen.

"French toast okay?" He asked sweetly.

"That's perfect. Thanks." I said with a smile.

As he cooked, I sat down as just thought about everything. Why did Jace stay to make breakfast? Why do I feel like I can trust him? Does he have a girlfriend? Where did he come from?

Suddenly, he put the food on the table and gestured for me to go to the table.

"So... " I said trying to ease the awkwardness.

"How are you today? Better than yesterday?" He asked as he ate his french toast.

"Uh...yeah. I'm okay. Thanks for yesterday by the way. Means a lot." I said as he smiled at me. I was thanking a total stranger for bringing me home and sleeping next to me.

"No problem. Did you know that you talk in your sleep?" He asked with a smirk. Holy smokes.

"No...did I say something?" I asked nervously.

"You said I was cute and hot." He said with a smirk as I punched his shoulder playfully. "Hey! You said it not me!" He said and burst into laughter.

I couldn't deny that he was attractive. He was hot and cute. He had brown hair that was perfectly combed over, big brown eyes and a strong, muscular body. He was fit.

"How old are you?" I asked.

"Twenty one. You?" He asked.

"Twenty one. We're the same age."

"I guess it was meant to be." He said.

"What do you mean?" I asked looking at him questioningly.

"This. Us meeting. Doesn't it feel like fate to you?" He asked.

Fate. It sure did feel like fate. I felt as if I already knew him. It was weird, but amazing at the same time.

"Uh...I guess." I said quietly.

"Um.. I've got to get going. I need to shower and change and get to work." He said as he got up from the table abruptly.

"Oh...okay."I said standing up as well. He seemed embarrassed by the whole fate thing.

"Will I see you again?" I asked as he put his shoes on.

"It depends. Do you wanna see me again?" He asked and looked at me, waiting for an answer.

I definitely wanted to see him again. I didn't want to admit it to him, but it did feel like fate. He was like my guardian angel.

"Yes...yes I do." I said and nodded my head.

"Is it because I'm hot and cute?" He asked with a cheeky smile.

"Maybe...." I said with a huge smile on my face.

"You gonna be here all day?"

"Yeah, no school today or... uh... sugar daddies." I said and put my head down. Just saying the words 'sugar' and 'daddies' made me feel guilty.

"Okay. See you later, I'll be back in a few." He said and left my apartment.
