Chapter 14. Heat

"Come in the water!" Jace shouted at me, as I sat under a big umbrella on the sandy beach, shielding myself from the hot, Cali sun.

It was a few weeks after Jace and I had gotten back together. We were in California celebrating my 22nd birthday. It was the first time we had traveled together.

"No... it's too hot!" I shouted back.

"Alright, I guess I'll have to come get you then." He said as he walked out of the water

"Oh..no.. no..no!" I said, as I quickly got up and ran in the opposite direction.

I wasn't fast enough as he quickly tackled me to the sand.

"I got you!" He said, as he burst into laughter.

"What's so funny?" I asked, as I giggled as well.

"You couldn't even run anywhere!" He said, still laughing as he kissed my cheek.

"Don't judge. I ain't no runner, but I'm a stunner, honey." I said, with sass.

"Damn right you are." He said, as he got off me and helped me up off the sand.

"You're not bad yourself, Jackson." I said,with a smirk.

"Wanna go back to the hotel to eat now?" He asked.

"Sure!" I exclaimed.

We ate lunch, then returned to the hotel room to relax.

I changed out of my swimsuit and put on a short jumpsuit.

"Callie, let's watch Child's Play." Jace said, as I laid next to him on the bed.

"No, no, no!" I said, as I waved my finger in disapproval.

"Aww... is little Callie scared?" He asked, in an annoying baby voice.

"No... I just don't like Chucky..." I said quietly.

"Okay, that's fine." He said, changing the channel.

I took the remote out of his hands and turned his face towards mine. I placed my lips on his and wrapped my arms around his muscular body.

He kissed me, then moved to my neck, kissing it softly.

"Jace..." I mumbled quietly.

He didn't respond and continued to kiss me.

Things became more passionate till eventually clothes came off.

"Callie, you sure you wanna do this?" He asked, holding my hand.

"Yeah, I'm ready. You?" I asked.

"I'm ready if you're ready." He said, as we started to kiss again.

Things continued to heat up as he pulled my panties down.

"Jace...." I said, softly as he began.

"Was it your first time?" Jace asked, as we put our clothes back on.

"Yeah, you?" I asked shyly.

"Yeah..."

"So... uh I think it was perfect." I said quietly.

"What was that?" Jace asked.

"I said, it was perfect." I answered, looking down.

"Don't be shy." He said, approaching me. "I agree that it was perfect." He said, as he kissed my cheek softly.
