We walked down a dirt road, hoping to find something; a house, store, anything that we could use for shelter. Daryl walked beside me, and Beth was ahead of us.

"I'm sorry about yer brother," he mumbled softly, and I looked to see he was staring ahead. "Thanks...I'm sorry about yours." I replied and he stopped, finally meeting my gaze.

"I just never expected t'find him again like we did, ye know?" I nodded in understanding and placed my hand on his arm, giving it a gentle squeeze. "Daryl....about what I said a while back," I started to say, "When I said I love you...did it-"

He turned his body to completely face mine, "Did it what?" I sighed softly biting my lower lip before speaking up again. "Did it change things...how you feel about me? In a bad way, I mean." He looked to Beth who was sitting on the side of the road a few feet away and shook his head.

"I jus' don't express my feelings the way you do. That's all." I nodded my body and mind both relaxing as I smiled up at him. "Good...I'm glad it didn't. Because it's true, you know that right?"

He looked at me for a moment before slowly nodding his head. "I don't think I can say it..jus' know I-" He was cut off as Beth spoke up, "Hey guys, look over there!"

We looked to where she was pointing, and I suddenly had the urge to run to Beth and kiss her as we saw the shed she was referring to. "Thank god," I groaned out in relief as we made our way to it, not a walker in sight.

We set our stuff on the floor as Daryl blockaded the door and I looked around. "This can work." He nodded and came up to me, placing his hand on my lower back. "You should sleep, Daryl. You need the rest," I said, looking up at him as he looked into my eyes. "Somebody needs t'keep watch."

"I'll do it, it's no big deal. I promise." He sighed not wanting to give in, but a few minutes passed and he accepted it, planting a kiss on my forehead. "I'll be here if ye need me." I smiled, nodding my head, and he left me to go lay down in the corner. I sighed sitting down, and an hour or so passed before I found myself letting my eyes drift closed.
