Chapter Two

The next day, Kinley and I woke up, got ready, and went to our new house with a whole bunch of boxes from her old apartment. When we got there, the moving people were already there and unloading the truck. We unloaded Kinley's things and went to check out the house. Once we chose our bedrooms, we put all of the boxes in specific rooms.

Throughout the day, Kayla, Riker, Treyvon, my parents, and Kinley's parents helped Kinley and I unpack the house and move furniture. We got almost all of the house unpacked before everyone left. The only person who stayed was Kayla. She was staying the night with us to catch up.

We were sitting in Kinley's room, which was completely unpacked, and eating junk food. Kayla said, "I wanna have a baby."

"Really?" Kinley and I asked in unison.

She nodded and continued, "It's been almost a year since we've been married and I'm ready for one."

"Talk to him about it," I told her.

"I've tried, but then he just changes the subject."

"If you want us to, we can tie him down and duct tape his mouth shut," Kinley offered.

We laughed and she shook her head and said, "No. I'll try one more time. If he wants to change the subject, then you can tie him down and duct tape his mouth shut."

We smiled and Kayla asked, "Oh! Lay! How're you and Darren doing?"

Instantly, tears filled my eyes. I looked at the comforter and told her, "We broke up."

"No! Why? What happened?" the two girls asked.

I sniffled, "He said it was because we didn't talk very often and we didn't know what was going on in each other's lives. He basically said it's for the best."

Kayla and Kinley pulled me into a hug. While Kinley rubbed my back, Kayla was stroking my hair and told me, "Just let it out Lay. Let it all out."

My tears started flowing into sobs. I whimpered, "I miss him so much."

"We know Lay. We know," Kinley whispered.

Kayla started humming a soft tune and as I continued crying, I fell asleep.

So it's a short filler. I plan on adding another chapter later today. If I don't, it's because I'm at the county fair and didn't get home until late. If I don't update today, I'll update two chapters tomorrow!
