Chapter Eleven

Two weeks later, I was working on a design for work, when I got a call from Logan. I answered and put it on speaker, "Hey Baby."

"Hey Babe," he greeted. I could hear the smile in his voice.

I smiled and asked, "What's up?"

"Just wanted to talk to you."

I smiled and told him, "You're so sweet."

"I know."

We laughed and he asked, "Are you in the middle of working on something? If you are, I'm sorry. I can call back."

"No! Well, yes I am working on something. But I can take a break. I've been working on this for an hour or so."

"Good. Because I wanted to talk to you about going out tomorrow."

I smiled and asked, "What about it?"

"What do you wanna do Lay?"

"Whatever you decide."

"Okay. But anyway. I met this guy two weeks ago. He's pretty cool. I want you to meet him. I think you two would get along."

"I don't know. I mean, work stuff is piling up and now with me coaching softball at the high school. I'll try and find time to. Okay?"

"Sounds good Babe. Just don't overwork yourself."

I smiled, "I won't. I promise."

Logan and I talked for a while before we hung up so we could go to bed. He had to work in the morning.

The next morning, Kinley came into my room and woke me up by saying, "Lay. You need to get up. Remember? Kayla wanted us to come see what the gender of her baby is? Since Riker's working."

I shot up and went to my closet. I put on jean capris and a plaid shirt. I loosely braided my hair, brushed my teeth, and walked downstairs to the kitchen. I grabbed a pop tart for Kinley and I. We put our shoes on and drove to the doctors office.

We walked in and met up with Kayla. Her name was called and the three of us walked into the room. The doctor introduced herself to Kinley and I, "Hello ladies. I'm Dr. Chang."

Kayla told her,"This is Kinley. And this is Layla. They're my best friends."

As she indicated to Kinley and I, Dr. Chang shook our hands. We got down to business. Dr. Chang asked Kayla, "Are you ready to find out the gender of your baby?"

Kayla nodded her head, as did Kinley and I. At that, Dr. Chang laughed. She put the gel on Kayla's stomach, which was pretty big for how small she is, and got the ultrasound going.

Finally Dr. Chang said, "I can see it."

Kayla asked, "What's the gender? I'm too excited to wait any longer!"

We laughed and Dr. Chang told us, "Mrs. Wilson, your baby girl is very healthy."

The three of us squealed and hugged one another.

Later that night, I got ready to go out with Logan. He told me that I could dress casually, so I dressed in jeans and a striped short sleeved shirt. The doorbell rang and I quickly grabbed Logan's gift and slipped my shoes on. I opened the door and Logan was there, obviously.

He kissed me and led me to his car. On the way to Fudrucker's, we talked, I told him about Kayla's baby girl. We got there, ordered, and sat down at a booth. Once we were settled, Logan said, "I can't believe it's been four months already."

I smiled, "Me neither."

He handed me a gift bag and I took it. I opened it and smiled. I told him, "I absolutely love it. I needed new supplies."

I handed Logan his gift and he opened it. I had gotten him tickets to a Rays and Twins game; since he's from Tampa Bay, Florida. He smiled, took my hand, and told me, "Thank you Lay."

Our food came and we ate. Once we were done, Logan took my hand and we walked to his car. He then drove us to the mini golf course that we went to on our first date. I smiled and squeezed his hand.

When we finished, Logan and I went back to his house. We went inside and I followed Logan into the kitchen. He started making coffee and he told me, "I let you win, you know."

"Mhm. That's what you said last time," I smirked.

"Shut up Lay."

"Why would I do that?"

"Cause I said so."

"When do I listen to you?" I joked.

"Oh I don't know. Maybe because I know where you're ticklish."

My eyes widened and I gasped, "You wouldn't."

"Oh. But I would," Logan smirked.

At that, I ran around his house with him chasing me. Eventually, he caught up to me, pinned me to the floor, and started tickling my sides. I said in between laughs, "Logan... Please... Stop..."

"Only if you say 'Logan is the hottest male on the planet and I wish I could be as cool as him'."

"I am not saying that," I told him before he started tickling me again.

Finally, the laughing took too much out of me and I caved. I screamed, "Logan is the hottest male on the planet and I wish I could be as cool as him!"

Logan stopped tickling me and let me go. I took a deep breath and told him with a grin, "You're an ass."

"But I'm your ass," he grinned.

I looked at my backside and told him, "But my ass doesn't look like you."

He smiled, pulled me into a headlock, and growled, "You're such a smart ass."

He let me go and I grinned, "But you love me!"

"You're right."

Logan got serious and looked into my eyes. He told me, "You're right. Layla, I'm in love with you."

I smiled and told him, "I'm in love with you too."

With saying that, Logan pulled me into his arms and kissed me with a lot of passion. We pulled back with our foreheads resting on one another. He whispered, "I love you Layla."

"I love you too Logan," I whispered back.

Awh! I love Logan and Layla! They're so cute! And Kayla's having a girl! But what about Darren? What do you think is gonna happen?

So. So. SOOOO. Sorry for not updating sooner!! But I tried to make this as long as I could. I started school on Tuesday. I've had homework every day since! And today I had to play pep band at 7:30 am and worked the concession stand to raise money for the D.C. trip. It's just been busy!
