Exactly one month has passed and it's now July 11. Kinley and Joe haven't done much wedding planning, but they have decided that the wedding will be in October. Logan and I are doing well. We go out as often as we can with our busy schedules; with him teaching and coaching varsity baseball and with my designing and coaching varsity softball. Kayla and Riker are all ready for their baby girl. She should be coming any day now.

I was awoken by my phone going off. I yawned, rubbed my eyes, and looked at the time, it was 3:18 in the morning. I answered my phone, groggily, "Hello?"

"Lay. It's Riker. I need you and Kinley to come to the hospital. Kayla's going into labor," he explained.

I shot up and told him, "We'll be there shortly."

I hung up, got dressed, and woke Kinley up by shouting, "Kinley! Kayla's having her baby!"

She shot up and got dressed in a record time. We ran to my car and I sped to the hospital. We got to the delivery wing of the hospital and saw Riker waiting for us. We ran to him and he showed us where she was.

We walked in and she was doing those labor breathing techniques. She saw us and held her hands out to us. Kinley and I each took a hand and Kayla told us, "I want you both in here when she comes. Although, if you don't want to Kin, you don't have to."

Kinley smiled sheepishly, as she has a fear of hospitals, and told her, "Thanks Kay."

Kayla gave a yelp and Riker took her hand from mine and whispered sweet nothings into her ear to try and make her feel better. A doctor came in and told Kayla how dilated she was. The doctor said she'd be back in about 10 minutes to check on her and see if she was ready to start.

The 10 minutes passed quickly and the doctor was back in. She said, "Mrs. Wilson. I think you're ready."

Kinley looked at me and I nodded. She smiled a small smile and walked out. I took Kayla's other hand and she started pushing.

After about an hour, the three of us heard a baby's cry. Kayla started crying happy tears, while Riker went to cut the umbilical cord. Kayla asked me, "Would you go get Kin?"

I nodded with a smile and went to the waiting room. There, Kinley was playing on her phone. She looked up when she heard footsteps. She saw me and I motioned for her to come with me to the room.

We walked back in and the nurses were still measuring the baby girl. Kinley walked to Kayla and the two hugged. Riker gave me a hug and whispered, "Thank you for being here Lay."

"No problem," I smiled.

The doctor came in holding a pink blanket. Kayla sat up straighter as he was handed her daughter. The doctor told Riker and Kayla, "She's very healthy and full term. What would you like to name her?"

Kayla smiled at her baby and told the doctor, "Layla Kinley Wilson."

Tears formed in my eyes and Kayla looked at me. She asked, "So you want to hold your goddaughter?"

My tears spilled over and I nodded. I carefully took Layla from Kayla and the baby girl opened her eyes. Her eyes were the same shade as her mother's. I cooed, "Hi Layla. I'm Layla too. I'm your godmother."

Later that day, I had to go coach a softball tournament. In the dugout, the girls had asked me if Kayla had her baby yet and I told them that she had. They told me to have Kayla bring her to a game one night.

When the girls were out on the field, Logan poked his head in the dugout and asked, "Is it safe for me to come in?"

I laughed, "For now."

He asked me as I did the book, "Did Kayla have her baby?"

I smiled and told him while watching my pitcher, "Yeah. At 4:27 in the morning."

"What'd they name her?"

"Layla Kinley Wilson. And I'm her godmother."

Logan kissed my cheek and my girls made the last out. That's when Logan told me, "I'm gonna go before they start giving me shit about coaching baseball."

I laughed and walked out of the dugout and into the girls' huddle before going back into the dugout.
