Chapter Twelve

Almost three weeks later, I called up Logan. He answered, "Hey Babe."

"Hi," I said with a smile.

"What's up?"

"I have the day off today. Is your friend in town? You said you wanted me to meet him."

"Let me text him and ask."

I could tell that he had put me on speaker because I heard the clicking of the keys on his phone. He told me, "And it's sent."

I laughed and Logan told me, "I love your laugh."

I smiled and told him, "I love your sense of humor."

I heard his ringtone through the phone and he told me, "He's in town. Wanna meet in a half an hour?"

"Sure."

"See you later. I love you."

"I love you too," I responded and hung up.

I decided that a half an hour wasn't too long, considering that I had to get ready. I took a five minute shower, got dressed, brushed my teeth and hair, and looked at the time. I had about 10 minutes to get to Logan's house.

I grabbed my keys and drove to Logan's. I parked in the street because there was a different car in the driveway; which I suspected to be his friend's. I went to the front door and knocked. Logan opened the door two seconds later and hugged me. He took my hand and told me, "He's in the living room Babe. I'll be there in a few. I told him I'd get him a soda."

I kissed his cheek and walked into the living room. My heart stopped as soon as I saw him. I didn't know if I was angry or sad about what he told me at Tony Roma's that one night two months ago. I must've made a noise because he turned around to look at me. His warm hazel eyes met my blue ones and he started, "Lay, I..."

"Don't call me that Darren," I interrupted.

"Sorry. Force of habit."

I sat down on the couch as far away from Darren as I could. Logan came in with three sodas and a grin on his face. He asked, "How're you two getting along?"

Logan noticed my body language and how uncomfortable I looked. His smile slowly faded and a confused look took over his facial features. He asked, "Is there something that I'm missing?"

I quickly made up, "Uhm. Log. Kayla's having food cravings again and asked me to get her some pickles and peanut butter. I better go."

He nodded. I stood up, walked to him, kissed his cheek, and told him, "I love you."

"I love you too."

I kissed his cheek again and basically ran to my car. I drove home and tried to keep my tears in.

Logan's Point of View:

Layla left to go to Kayla's, but I could tell that she was lying. I asked Darren, "What's going on?"

"Layla and I kind of know each other. From before," Darren started.

"Before how?" I asked.

"She used to work for Glee. And she got me ready before filming. We became friends. I introduced her to the Starkids. Some crazy shit happened to us and we ended up in a serious relationship."

"So you..."

"I'm not done Logan."

I ushered him to continue and he said, "She moved to New York. And when she came back, I realized how lonely I was and broke up with her. The stupidest thing I ever did."

I was silent and Darren asked, "Logan?"

"You're the one who broke her. You're the one I told her was an asshole. On our first date, she told me how bad you hurt her. I swore to myself that if I ever met the guy who did that to her, I would kill him."

"Logan. You have no idea how many times I've heard that from Kinley, Kayla, Riker, Joe, Joey, Meredith, Brian, Jaime, and Lauren. I know I hurt her! I wasn't thinking straight when I did it."

I stayed silent as I comprehended what he just said. He told me, "I think I'm just gonna go."

Layla's Point of View:

I sat in my car crying for about a half an hour. I noticed a familiar car in the driveway of our house. I made sure that my eyes didn't give away that I was crying. Once I made sure, I ran into the house screaming, "Joseph!"

I found Joe and Kinley in the living room talking with grins on their faces. Joe saw me and stood up with his arms open. I took the hug he offered and we sat on the couch by Kinley. I asked, "What are you doing here? Are the others here too?"

"No they're not. It's just me. I needed to talk to Kinley face to face," Joe answered.

"Did I interrupt? I'm sorry! I can go up to my room."

"No. I already told her what I needed to Lay."

I raised an eyebrow and noticed Kinley's left hand take Joe's. I gasped when I noticed. On her ring finger was a diamond ring. I screamed. I hugged them both and yelled, "Congratulations!"

The two laughed and hugged me back. I took Kinley into my arms by herself and whispered, "I'm so happy for you Kin. You get to be happy. You're engaged."

So Kinley and Joe are engaged! Darren and Layla met once again. Now Logan knows about Darren and Layla. What do you think is gonna happen next?

So sorry I haven't updated in a week! It's been so busy! I've had so much homework in only the second week! I guess that's what I get for taking AP and advanced classes. I'll try and update at least once a week!
