Hey guys, so I didn't start writing last night but I am writing now haha. Obviously, I was thinking about writing my own story, one that was funny, maybe about a guy who is a complete goon and messes up all the time? Maybe, I don't know yet. If you have any ideas let me know yeah? Anyways, here's the chapter, enjoy :)
*Jessie*
It was Thursday and we were leaving right after breakfast. Danny received a call from from his manager about 10 o'clock last night. He had an important meeting to attend at 3pm so we had packed and were just heading downstairs to have some breakfast. To my surprise Carly was there, with her friend Kerry, and they were both perched at the table next to Vicki with their heads in their hands.
"9 o'clock is too early," Carly complained.
"That's what you get for sneaking in here, drunk," Ailish said as we came into the kitchen.
"Haha," Dara chuckled. "You'll learn the hard way Carl-."
"Shut. The. Hell. Up," she warned him. This earned a chuckle from Danny.
"You two all packed and ready?" Ailish asked as we sat down at the table.
"Yeah," Dan sighed.
"It's been nice having you guys here," she replied, setting a stack of pancakes down in front of us, which just happened to be drizzled beautifully with syrup.
Breakfast at the O'Donoghue's was pleasant. It was filled with lighthearted chatter and humour as Kelly and Carly cracked up every time someone laughed - that was funny so Danny and Dara both found it rather funny to wind them up.
All too soon Danny came downstairs with our suitcase and it was time to leave. I had really enjoyed my time in Dublin and it was nice to finally meet Danny's family. I loved how they all got on together. Soon enough we were in the air and I was feeling nervous about tomorrow and I was anxious as to why Danny's manager needed him so urgently.
As ever the journey was annoying. I loved going to different countries and seeing the world but I hated the traveling. Finally we got back to our apartment, and although it felt late it was only 12 o'clock. When we got in and had lunch before Danny had to dash off and about ten minutes later I received a call from my manager.
"Hello Jessie, enjoy your trip?" she asked.
"Yes I did thank you," I replied.
"So, I just received a call from The Voice..." Paula said.
"Oh, what did they say?"
"That they wanted you back for another series. Tom and Will have already confirmed."
"What do you think? I mean I would love to go back, do I have the time?" I questioned.
"Well we pushed your tour back and that gives you a lot of time. And it also gives you more time to get the album finished up," she explained.
"I'll do it then, you can confirm it!" I agreed.
"Okay, thanks Jessie, bye!" Paula said.
"Goodbye," I replied.
That was unexpected. I was happy that I got to go back to The Voice. I enjoyed it there, everyone got on and had a laugh, to be honest I couldn't wait. A few hours passed and Danny still hadn't returned. That meeting must have been about something serious, he had been away for 3 hours now. It was approaching dinner time and I wondered what I could make. Maybe we can just get a take out when Danny gets back. Just then the door opened and in he came with two pizza's.
"Hey," he sighed. He was clearly tired.
"You okay?" I asked as he set the pizza on the coffee table and opened it taking a bite.
"I'm just going to tell you now. I want you to know before anyone else," he told me. I started to get worried but stayed silent so he could talk.
"I have to go to LA in two weeks," he sighed setting the pizza down.
"What? How?" I was taken back by this.
"We have a lot of studio time over there. I leave at the start of the month, I tried to reason with them but there was nothing I could do, I'm sorry," he explained, placing his hand on my thigh.
"How long for?" I asked eventually.
"A month. I know it seems like a long time but it will fly in. We can talk on the phone and facetime everyday, I promise. And I'll be back right before The Voice starts," he informed me.
"A month," I breathed, letting it register.
"I'm sorry," Danny apologized.
"It's what you have to do I suppose," I said.
"Your okay with it then?" He asked.
"It will be hard, but I'll be okay. This is our careers and I suppose we will just have to deal with it," I told both of us.
"I love you," he reminded me.
"I love you too," I replied.
The rest of the night was spent watching movies after we had finished the pizza and I fell asleep on his lap.
The next morning came quickly and I was anxious. Of course Danny sensed that and told me it was going to be okay. After getting ready, we arrived at the hospital 10 minutes early. I was put through some tests before having to wait an hour for the results. Finally, I was called on and taken into a private room while Danny waited outside.
"Jessica, your results are looking good. All your levels are normal and although your anemia has cleared up you may still need to be careful. Everything should get back to normal over the next few days," I smiled at the news. It was good, I was sick of taking tablets with every meal.
After finishing a few things up with the doctor, I was free to go see Danny who was still waiting outside.
"Hey," he said.
"Hi," I smiled back.
"Well?" Dan prompted me.
"I'm clear, my results are normal," I informed him.
"That's great news," he smiled, hugging me. "Lets get you home and I'll make us a nice lunch and we can just relax."
And when we went home, that's what we did.
