Hey guys, so I've been back to school 2 days and I'm necked with work. It's crap, for lack of a better word. I'm lying in bed because I'm knackered and Jessie is playing in my ears. Anyways, here is the chapter. Enjoy.

*Jessie*

"Stay there, I'll get him a bottle," Danny instructed me. It was four o'clock and it was time for one of Miles' night feeds. He was a week old now and everyone loved him. Ailish loved his name and she told me she was happy that I was getting on so well with him. Soon Danny returned with Miles' bottle.

"Do you want me to do it?" He asked.

"If you like," I yawned, passing Miles to him and lying back down on the bed. I loved watching Danny with Miles. Soon he had fed him and began winding him. Danny placed him back on his cot and he just wouldn't settle. I lifted him from the cot and placed him in the bed between us, smoothing out the frown lines on his small head from him scowling. Eventually, Miles relaxed and fell asleep above mine and Danny's intertwined hands and we grew tired watching over his peaceful state and drifted back to sleep ourselves.

Surprisingly, Miles didn't wake for another feed. He woke at 9 o'clock and I was grateful for the extra bit of sleep. Of course he wanted a bottle as soon as he woke but that was understandable. As I was feeding him Danny made tea and toast. After I fed Miles, Danny took him allowing me to eat.

"Dan, I wanna go out today," I sighed, placing my crust back on my plate.

"Are you ready for that?" He asked, his eyebrows raised.

"Yeah, I'm really bored and we need to go Christmas shopping. It's only 2 weeks away and we have nothing yet," I reminded him.

After agreeing it was a good idea and reminding me that he would be there, I went and got changed. I wanted to wear something quite sophisticated as the press would snap up the bargain to make a story. Obviously, I still had a lot baby weight as it was only a week after I'd gave birth but I didn't want to give the press something to start on. I decided on a black skirt and tights, pulling on a grey baggy top and a black trench coat. I put on enough makeup to cover any blemishes, spots or bags under my eyes but kept it soft and neutral. My black shiny heels were my last adjustment before spraying some perfume. Just then Danny came into the bedroom with Miles and I put him in the jeans and shirt Glen had brought him on Thursday. Danny understood my thoughts on the situation and dressed in dark denim skinny jeans, a white t-shirt and a black blazer. After making sure Miles was wrapped securely as it was cold and put in his pram we locked the door and left.

We visited lots of shops and got a lot of our Christmas shopping done. Obviously we didn't get each other's gifts and I wanted to get Miles' when he wasn't with us and it was just me and Dan. Our gifts ranged from Mum's new cooking saucepans to Ailish's engraved necklace to Holly's box set of Harry Potter.

My predictions came true as we left the last shop, the paps surrounding us with lights flashing everywhere an questions being hurled from different directions. Normally, I could handle the paps, but now with Miles out with us I didn't like the aggressive front they possessed. Danny sensed my discomfort and placed his right arm securely around my waist and his left on the pram, steering our way through the swarm of clicks and flashes. Miles began to stir from his pram and soon his small grunts turned into dry, hard sobs. It broke my heart.

"Would you all back off! You can see he doesn't like it and your stressing Jess out!" Danny roared, now angry, but to no avail. He moved around to the front of the pram and pulled the handle of the car seat. "Come on Jess," Danny instructed as he forced his way through.

Finally we were at the car and the driver flung open the door. Danny instantly grabbed Miles car seat, lifting him out a cradling him protectively while he hushed his hard sobs into little muffles. Soon he was fast asleep and Danny placed him back in his car seat, strapping him in securely.

"I fucking hate them. Why can't they see that we want privacy!" Danny shouted but in a low whisper.

"Dan, it's just the paps, they always do it," I sighed, rubbing his knee to get him to calm down.

"But Miles hates it! They could see him crying!" He said louder this time.

"He's calmed now, let's just get home and you can invite Mark and Glen around again," I suggested.

"Are you okay with that?"

"Of course," I smiled.

We got home not long after and Danny changed Miles out of his little shirt and jeans on the sofa. I ran upstairs and pulled on sweats. I sat in front of the mirror and took off my make up. I noticed how my top hung a little lose around my stomach. I must have lost more weight than I thought in the past week. I'd always had trouble keep weight on and it seemed like baby weight was no different. Perhaps I should start working out again. After all muscle weighs more than fat and I'd like to get toned. When I went back down stairs Miles was in his bouncer making little noises and Danny was heating him another bottle.

"I ordered Chinese. Honey Chilli Chicken. And Mark and Glen will be here soon," he said, wrapping his arms around my waist.

"Look at him," I smiled. "He's ad adorable in that little sleep suit your mum bought him."

"Hm, yeah." Danny kissed my neck. Miles let out a shout and smiled.

"Look, his first little smile," I grinned.

"Let's take a picture," Danny said. Grabbing the camera and making sure the flash was off before taking a snap.

"You are really great with him," I smiled again.

"Thank you," Danny replied. "So are you."

Mark and Glen arrived while Danny was feeding Miles. They had brought over a few beer. Of course they ha to get a turn at holding him each before anything else could take place. The food arrived shortly after and we all ate together. The three boys got on like little kids laughing together and I giggled at their antics. Soon Miles fell asleep again in my arms. Looking at him he was incredible. He wasn't meant to be but these two weeks have been amazing. I loved being a mum and Danny filled the job of a father perfectly. The fact that Miles wasn't Danny's child didn't both me so much anymore. I was happy for once. And I could imagine life without him anymore. Life was good at the moment, despite the paps.

A\N: Hey guys, sorry this took so long to get updated. I've had the most of it written for a long time now I just couldn't get the ending out. But it's here. I think this book is going to end soon. It will finish after the family get Christmas by them. How soon it will happen I don't know because I don't know when the next update will be. I will probably write a sequel because I want things to happen but not in this book. Anyways, thanks for waiting and reading guys. <3
