Hello guys. To be perfectly honest I don't really have anything to tell you now because I'm writing so much. Anyways, Danny's POV coming up, here you go :)
*Danny*
"Excuse me Sir?" The flight attendant asked, bringing me back to earth.
"Yes?" I asked.
"Um, the plane has landed, unless you wanted something?" She informed me.
"Oh, no. I'm fine, sorry about that," I mumbled. I hadn't realised that we had made it, my thoughts were elsewhere, wondering how Jessie was. Maybe she didn't want to be with me anymore. But then she wouldnt get me to come home early. Well it was Holly so something was probably wrong. Maybe something had happened with Jessie's family.
As I walked into the airport car park I seen my driver really and waiting. I flung my suitcase in the boot and slid in the backseat. I felt like crap. I didn't know what would happen when I got home. I put my head in my hands. My driver sensed my discomfort.
"Danny, are you alright?" He asked.
"Yeah Lenny, thanks," I replied brushing it off.
20 minutes later I pulled up outside the house. The small lamp in the living room was on and I could tell the TV was on because of the slight flashes and colour changes on the blinds. I lifted my case and thanked Lenny. I walked up the path apprehensively. The door was opened. That was strange, it was 5 o'clock. After going in the hall I realised why, I seen Holly's shoes, she was here. I left my case in the hall and went to the living room. Holly was sat at the arm of the couch, her hand rested on Jessie's bare head, her thumb stroking her forehead. Jessie's hand rested on Holly's knee and I was took back by how fragile and breakable she looked. Things must be bad. I exhaled a shaky breath and my eyebrows furrowed.
"Is she okay?" I asked wearily.
Holly simply shook her head. I understood that she was going to let Jessie tell me.
"Do you want a cuppa?" I asked. Holly looked at her watch. It was 5 o'clock.
"Yeah, she's been sleeping for 12 hours so she should be up soon," she informed me.
I made us both a cup of tea and sat on the chair. Jessie's appearance had changed dramatically since the last time we Skyped 4 and a half weeks ago. Her face was sunken, her eyes dark with bags. She'd lost a lot of weight.
"She looks peaceful," I murmured.
"Most peace she's had in a while," Holly admitted. This worried me. "It will be easier for her now your here. I bet she'll kick up when she realises I rung you but she needs you here."
"I watched her on TV shaving her head," I half smiled, making conversation.
"Yeah, she's so brave," Holly replied, but I had a feeling she was referring her statement to more than the head shave.
Just then the news came on.
"I've been watching that a lot recently," Holly sighed.
"How long have you been here?" I questioned.
"3 weeks," she told me.
Just then Jessie began to stir. She opened her eyes and looked at Holly confused.
"How long have I been asleep for?" Jessie asked sounding hoarse.
"12 hours," Holly replied cautiously.
"What time is it?" She asked.
"6.30," Holly informed her.
"Why didn't you wake me and why didn't you go to bed?" She asked Holly still unaware of my presence
"I wanted to let you sleep I guess."
"I'm hungry," Jessie said sitting up, looking my way for the first time. "What are you doing here?" She asked, rising to her feet.
"I got a call," I replied, stand up.
"Danny!" Jess said beginning to sob, running across the room to me and slamming into my chest. I was scared incase she hurt herself. I was confused.
"I'll go make breakfast." Holy excused herself.
I just held Jessie, happy that she could be in my arms again. Relieved somehow. I didn't speak as she sobbed, hard sobs. I rubbed her head, showing her that I was here. Soon her sobs evened out. I lifted her and sat back down, placing her on my knee.
"What's wrong babe?" I asked, carefully.
"I... I, he." She took a shaking breath through the silent tears. "He d-did it again...and I'm p-pregnant," she confessed.
At once all the air was knocked out of my chest. I didn't speak, I couldn't. The only thing I was able to do was make my hold firmer around Jessie's fragile form.
"Say s-something," she pleaded, her face scrunched up in pain, the tears coming faster.
"Baby, I'm so sorry," I croaked, finding my voice. "We will get though this," I admitted, my own tears appearing. "I promise." I burried my head in Jessie's neck, my own tears spilling over.
I gathered myself and Jessie calmed down a little. Holly came back with a plate of toast and gave me a sympathetic look. I ate 2 pieces and Holly ate the rest. Jessie didn't touch the piece I gave her even after my feeble attempts at persuading her. Once we finished I instructed Holly to go and get some sleep. She called a cab and went home at Jessie's command. Jess and I went to bed. I held her. She was only up and I wouldnt sleep. I switched the TV on.
"When did he... do it baby?" I asked struggling for words.
"4 weeks ago. The day after I came back from tour," she told me and to my surprise she continued on. "Tom found me lying there 3 days later. He took me to his for 5 days. He wanted me to tell someone but I just wanted to come home. Holly came over and stayed since," she sniffled.
"Why didn't you tell me sooner?" I asked.
"Holly tried to get me. But I blew up. I was scared incase you wouldn't want me," she mumbled.
"I'll always want you. Jess your everything to me, everything," I told her firmly, placing a kiss on her head and pulled her closer.
We looked at the TV, none of us really taking in the story the moving pictures were telling. There was one question I wanted to ask. I needed the answer.
"Jessie, what are you going to do with it?" I breathed, placing my hand on her stomach.
"I don't know. I was thinking about adoption," she confessed.
"I'll support you whatever your decision Jess. We'll go to the doctors tomorrow," I said, wanting to give her some sort of structure. Some sort of knowing.
It was awful knowing that I wasnt here to protect my baby when she needed it most. I couldn't believe that this had happened again. I couldn't beleive the fact he knew her whereabouts. I pulled her closer. I was going to protect her, even if my life depended on it.
