Ariana: Why did you do this?!

Ever: Isn't it for the best, he's not the most observant, did you want to fawn over him till he notices by himself it would've taken forever..

Ariana: But now he knows.. I don't know what to do when he looks at me like that

Ever: Just be yourself, now he's open to the idea

Ariana: You are so annoying..

Ever smirked: I still think this is for the best

Ariana huffed and stomped away

Elder Lokin: Well, you were right about Sorin not being observant, but that's only when it converns himself. You are the same, though. He has a point, about Axel

She averted her gaze: Elder, he's part elf, isn't he

He smiled: You should ask him..

She sighed, and went to find her companions, they were leaving soon

She found them waiting for her. They took their leave from the elves and took of

Maya: The elves are so nice and serene. I wonder how the other residents of the realm are?

Romeo: You will find soon enough. We still have to meet with the Sirens and Pixies..

Maya: I cannot wait! But what about the others?

Ever: The ogres don't exactly like dealing with any others, nor they have a proper place. Their loyalty is their own

Maya nodded

Axel walked next to Ever. She felt awkward after what Soren told her, even though she felt she couldn't believe him

Maya: Where are we going first?

Romeo: To the Sirens

Ever: You better be careful. They might not take it lightly, approaching their territory without prior notice. I assume you did send word that we were visiting, your highness

Romeo: Yes, as far as I know, they should know we are coming

She nodded. She felt the heavy presence of Noire behind her. She still didn't feel comfortable around him. They haf tried to engage him in conversation, but he would only grunt in response, if the prince was the one talking to him, otherwise he'd ignore them

Ever hoped he would be at least useful in case a magical attack occured

So far so good, they were nearing the Sirens land by the river and it was still peaceful. They usually liked the sea, but some resided here, others even by the lakes

All of a sudden, a haunting melody was heard. A sweet song, Ever saw the eyes of her companions glaze over

Noire started attacking them, Romeo and Axel ran to the river, and Maya was walking towards a small stream

Ever: Wait! Where are you going. She cursed under her breath. If she didn't do anything, they will be all dead in no time

First she had to block Noire's attacks. She enhanced her physical strength, and fought back. She managed at first, but the burly man started using magic, throwing fire balls at her. She could barely dodge. He threw one after another. She had to do something and fast. She tried attacking him with bursts of electricity, her attacks were weak, but gave her time to call upon the water of the river. A huge wave came and knocked him over. She then proceeded to the two men, who were both at the bank, reaching towards the sirens she now saw, beckoning them to join them

Ever knocked Axel and Romeo on the back of their heads, hard. They crumbled to the ground and she hurriedly pulled them away of the water

The sirens hissed at her

She ran after Maya, who was making slow progress towards the stream

She saw a male siren sitting there

Ever tried to catch Maya's attention. It didn't work. Her heart fell, she didn't want to have to knock her unconscious, like she did the men

She tried again, Maya used magic to make her retreat, but she wouldn't. She made a promisse to keep her safe, and she'll be damned if she allowed a few sirens to keep her from fulfilling it

Ever felt weak from resisting the mage's powers. Maya really did have great power

What am I going to do, Ever thought

If she couldn't stop Maya, maybe she could stop the siren from controlling her

She lunged at him, sword raised, he was startled and she managed to render him unconscious, but not before she was hit with a bolt of electricity by Maya
