It took days for the pixies to decide whether they were joining the allianve or not. During those days, the group were discussing how they were going to be able to unravel the mystery of the hostile alliance against them

Ever: I believe some might be from the noble family, even residing in the palace

Romeo sighed, raking a hand through his hair: As much as I'd hate to think so, I am of the same mind as you. Such powerful magic and influence can only be from members of Fae nobility

Ever: And the insistance of keeping me as your guard and the resistance to adding more guards..

He nodded

Maya looked scared: I'm very sorry your highness, maybe if we hadn't come here..

He shook his head and gripped her hand: Don't be.. They were probably waiting for an opprutunity to strike. It can't be just your presence that caused them to act this way

Ever: I think his highness is correct, your presence just gave them the push they wanted and needed to act. It couldn't have been the only reason. You have nothing to feel guilty about

Axel was smiling at her. For one that was once hopelessly in love with the prince, she was extremely nice to her previous rival, but then again, she was like this from the beginning, and right now he could for sure say that she looked like she no longer harbored such tender feelings for his highness. This made his heart lighter

The pixies interrupted their discussions

Norland: Well, we have a feast to hold tonight, why don't you join us, dear guests

He turned towards Ever: I would like for you, my lovely lady to accompany me to the feast

Ever frowned, Axel didn't seem to like it, and the others just looked puzzled

Norland: You wouldn't want to offend us by refusing, no?

Romeo nodded at her, and she had to accept, though reluctantly

Norland: Lona would love it if you accompanied her as well, your highness

Lona curtsied, and Romeo sighed but said civilly: It would be my pleasure

Norland: Lady Maya will be escourted by Fallon

A cinnamon haired pixie grinned mischieviously at her, his grin only made her wary, and Romeo looked slightly annoyed, despite his attempts to appear cordial

Norland: And Malia will be glad if Mr. Noire would be her escourt, as will be Kara, if Mr. Axel would be so kind

A green haired voluptous pixie fluttered her lashes at Noire, he blushed a deep red, and a copper haired pixie fluttered her wings in excitement at the prospect of Axel as a date, she looked really young

Norland: If all is settled, we will see you after sunset, make sure to get some rest, our feasts are famous for lasting till very late hours

Garnel shook his head, the young ones and their antiques..

They all went to the feast with their respective dates

Through the whole night, Norland and Fallon made sure to stay uncomfortably close to their dates, which pissed Romeo and Axel off, Romeo especially was livid, he didn't know how to save his lady from her plight, and he was jealous as hell

Axel was a little bit better at hiding his feelings. He could also see that Ever was one iota away of kicking Norland's behind, which made his lips quirk

Maya kept glancing at Romeo nervously, and Lona kept fluttering her lashes at him, and holding his arm

Poor Noire looked so out of his depth.. He was in danger of bursting an artery with all the blood rushing to his face

Axel's date kept chattering on and he only hmmed at her obligingly, but she didn't seem to notice his lack of attention

All in all, the pixies were having a grand time, especially when the dancing began and they dragged their dates into the throngs, while the group only sighed and wished for the festivities to end real soon

By the time they were set free, they were grumpy and exhausted. They retired to bed, while the pixies continued their merriment, discussing the satisfying results of their mischief
