They rested well that night, nothing had happened, just as the sirens had promissed

In the morning, Axel seemed better. He was smiling more, if his eyes were still only a little bit sad

Maya: Ever, did you say anything to Axel?

Ever: Only that it wasn't his fault, or anyone else's

Maya: Thank you

Ever: I haven't done anything

Maya smiled and left it at that

Lady Farrow approached: Ever, can any of your siblings sing?

Ever: Not like a siren..

Lady Farrow: How about you?

Ever: I don't know. I haven't sung much

Lady Farrow: Why don't you try? Come with me

Ever: But..
