Realizing Each Other's Love

Chapter 8

Dustin's P.O.V

         After Marie told Isaac and I what the story was, I was absolutely balistic. I could not beleive that douchebag would do that to a beautiful, smart girl like her. I wanted to just get up and leave, so I can beat him up. Marie told me not too, but I still had the feeling.

         I just wanted to hold Marie in my arms and tell her that I would never do that to her and I was here for her, but I can't. I think Isaac likes her and I don't want to come between Isaac's chance. He has had two other girlfriends and they were crappy ones.

         After about five movies, the rest of Marie's family were over and watching the rest of Avengers: Age of Ultron with us. Her brothers are really cool. I feel bad for her that she has two brothers, but then again I don't because I have the opposite. I have two sisters. Marie's mom is really cool. She is like another mom. Around ten, Isaac and I decided that it was time to go. We said good-bye to Marie's family and then the girls walked us to the door. We said goodbye and I saw Isaac and Gwen talking a lot and laughing. They seem really close, maybe they like each other. Maybe I have a chance with Maire.

         When we get back to my place, we go downstairs to the basement, which is where my bedroom is. I have the whole basement to myself and I love it. We get to the couch and immediately start playing video games. I like it in the basement because no one upstairs can hear us yelling, screaming and cussing at each other and the TV.

          The next morning, I decided to go over to Gwen's house and ask her some things about Marie. Like if she is looking for someone to be with. Or does she like me or Isaac? 

           I got ready and then drove over to her house. When I got there, there were no cars in her driveway. Hopefully she is home. I got to her door and knocked a couple times. The sound of feet running down the stairs told me that there was at least someone here. The opened and there stood Gwen.

          "Oh thank god your're here." I sighed when I saw her.

          "What do you need?" Gwen asked.

           "I want to ask out Marie some how, but I don't know how. Can you help me." I pleaded to her almost going down to my knees.

           "OH MY GOSH YES. I WILL TOTALLY HELP YOU!!!!!!!! I WANTED YOU AND HER TO BE TOGETHER!!! COME IN!" Gwen said and pulled me into her house and to her living room.

           I don't know how long it took us to come up with a plan, but when we finished, it was already 4:00. Gwen and I said our goodbyes and then I left. 

          Tomorrow, is the day I will be asking Marie to be my girlfriend and I hope this will end up well, but we will just have to see. 

          That night, I got no sleep because I was too nervous for what was going to happen at school that day. Gwen is going to take Marie to the football field in the back before school. That is where some of my good friends, who are on the football team, are going to be, as will I. My friends are going to be standing in a line and when the girls get there, my friends are going to all lift up their shirts. On their chests will say, "Marie, will you be my girlfriend?" I will be standing at the end with a question mark on my chest. Then I will wait for her answer and hopefully it will be a yes.
