*Katerina's POV*
That Monday had started like any other day. Katerina woke up in her dark room, in her dark, quiet house. She was used to the silence. She was also used to her mother never coming home. Her mother, Sandra Slade, was always away on business. She owns her own company, called Sunny Incoorperated, which specialises in swimming attire and other summer type things.Though Sandra made sure Katerina got everything she ever wanted, from the newest phone to a beautiful car, she failed to spend any quality time with her daughter. Since they had moved to Seattle, and her mothers business had started up, her mother had been pretty distant.
At first, Sandra truly tried to be around as much as possible, because she knew Katerina had been through so much. But as timed passed and her mothers business got more popular, it became harder for Sandra to be around. She still would call and text all the time to make sure Katerina was okay and to let her know she loves her, but not seeing her everyday hurt.
Katerina sighs as she looks at her clock. 6:00 am. This was always the hardest part: Getting up, getting ready for school like she was ready to face another day... she wasn't. She tried not to think about the day ahead as she went to her bathroom and turned the shower on hot.

45 minutes later, Katerina is looking at herself in the mirror. She never much liked doing her hair, so it was in a simple braid laid over her shoulder. She was in a simple tight-fitted tee and jeans, with blue converse. She did slight eyeliner, cause she liked to darken her eyes.
Though Katerina did not care about the opinion of her classmates, she liked to feel good when looking in the mirror. It was hard for her to look in the mirror and be satisfied with the woman she saw, so she often tried a little harder on her apperance to feel good. She turned around to gather her things for school, making sure to grab her car keys on the way out.
Walking through the long dark hallways of Katerinas house often reminder Katerina just how lonely she really was. It always ruined her mood, which never really was a good mood in the first place.
As she past by her kitchen, she made sure she grabbed the peanut butter and jelly sandwich and banana that was always waiting on the counter every morning before school. She knew the maid, Veronica, always took time to make them for her. That lightened her mood as she stepped outside and walks to her car, a 2016 Corvette Z06. She begins eating her sandwich as she pulls out of her drive way, dreading the start of a very long week.
