"What?" Toby said stepping forward. "David, you can't be serious!"
"Oh but I am." David said without a hint of remorse.
Toby's eyes burned like a fire. "Vanessa will kill her! Or worse!"
David looked bored. "You forget she is already dead. And unless Vanessa wants her home raided with our warriors then she won't lay a finger on Clara. You know only she will be able to figure out what the block is."

"If you haven't forgotten," Toby began angrily, he was very close to David now.
"We have been at war with Vanessa for forever. She is the whole reason we are here and not resting in an afterworld! Because she can't keep her pets under lock and leash!"

David spoke calmly. "Remember who you are speaking to, Toby. I won't say this again. Clara is going and you are going with her."

Clara, who had been standing watching all of this, cleared her throat. "When do we go?"
Toby scoffed at her. "You can't be serious?"
Clara raised her chin. "I most certainly am. It's clear I'm going, so why fight it?"

David smirked. "See? Even a batie understands."
Clara scowled at him, not appreciating the name. When Adam said it it was light hearted, when David said it it sounded like an insult.
"Fine." Toby ground out. "But you stay by my side at all times and speak only when I say."
"Yes mum." Clara sighed.
"Go," said David. " have dinner, sleep, do whatever. You leave at midnight."

"Hmmm, I think red would be suitable for the Devils palace." Said Zoe who was stood before the large closest.
Clara popped a French fry into her mouth, enjoying the taste then grimaced. "Red sounds tarty."

Zoe rolled her eyes. "What are you, eighty?"
Tina laughed lightly. "You can't say much, you're technically 110."
Clara almost chocked on her French fry and Zoe glared at her sister. "So are you, idiot."

"110!" Clara exclaimed. "So you died in...1906!"
Zoe surprisingly smiled broadly. "Yes. It was a lovely time. You would have loved the clothes."

"That's so long." Clara said in shock.
Zoe lightly wacked her arm. "Stop it, your making me feel old."
"Well...technically you are-"
"Enough." Tina cut in, getting up off her own cot which-to Clara's happiness and relief-was right beside her's. "Your wearing black, Clara. I know you haven't been given a division yet, but you'll just have to make do."

Clara had recently discovered that Zoe was in the warrior division like Toby and Tina the healing. Clara wasn't surprised for either of them, it fit their personalities perfectly.

Clara felt her eyes widen when Tina pulled out a tight fitted black dress which looked more like shirt than dress. Next minute the twins were telling her to put it on. Ten minutes later, Clara stood before the mirror in utter shock.

"It's like a second skin!" She protested. The dress came mid-thigh and dipped dangerously down the front. Zoe had done her hair up into a swirl atop her head, leaving loose strands of red hair around her face like a veil. Her strange eyes were exposed and wide.

"These trainers should look alright with it." Zoe said, handing her a pair of black converse. How did she know her favourite shoes?!

Zoe squealed when she put them on. "Oh my gosh Clara, you look amazing! Vanessa won't know what's coming to her!"

Clara snorted. "Vanessa. She sounds so normal. You'd think I was visiting a friend or something.

That moment, there was the sound of footsteps and all three girls turned around to find Bella standing in the doorway. She looked exactly the same as the first time Clara had seen her. Long dark braid to her waist, black clothes, a scowl on her pretty face. Clara remembered Toby telling her she'd died around the early nineteen hundreds. Then, Clara hadn't understood what he meant.

"Why are you wearing my dress?" She demanded, freezing on the spot.
Blood rushed to Clara's cheeks. "I-uh."
"Take it off!"
"Hey Bella, there's no need to be rude." Tina said, protectively standing in front of Clara.

"Shut up Tina." Bella hissed.
Zoe now stood on Clara's other side. "Is there a reason you're here, Bella? Or are you just looking for a fight?"
"Newsflash Zoe, you don't own the place." Bella retorted.
"That's it!" Zoe yelled moving forwards. "Hold my earrings!"
"Um...you aren't wearing any?" Clara reminded her.
Zoe huffed, looked extremely tired. "Then hold my shoe."

Clara blinked as Zoe actually handed her her left shoe.
"That's enough." Tina said, getting between the two growling girls. Clara felt as though she had stepped into the world of Gordie Shore. She could imagine Emily saying where's the popcorn?! Shits goin' down! Then their mum scolding her for her language.
"Whatever." Bella grumbled and stormed out of the door, slamming it behind her.
