A hushed silence fell over the entire hall. It was filled, filled with every single chosen one, forever trapped in between the two afterworlds.
200 men 22 women
On the centre stage stood the most beautiful man. Hair the colour of bronze, skin carved from silver, eyes glowing gold. He stood with the power of a thousand men, his hands nearly clasped behind his back as he analysed the crowed. The crowed of people he created.
He stood alone until David, the head of the facility, walked up to him. His ivory skin was stark against the man's silver and he was much smaller.
"We welcome you, Nathaniel the Creator." He said loud enough for the whole room to hear. Nathaniel expected to hear applause like he did in heaven, or curses like he did in hell. Instead all he heard was silence.
Nathaniel nodded his head at the little man and turned back to the people. "Are you people mute?" He asked, meaning it to be humorous but it just came out cold. The people shifted uncomfortably in their seats. Some bowed, others cowered. How strange.
David cleared his throat. "What is this about, your worshiped?"
Nathaniel sneered at the word. "I came here looking for a certain someone. I have no clue of her name but hear she is referenced to as the 'Saviour'." Nathaniel turned to the small man. "You wouldn't know anything about this, would you?"
David opened his mouth to speak, but Nathaniel beat him to it. "This Saviour is extremely dangerous and is a threat to each of you. She has been brought here against every rule and every law. It should even be possible, but somehow she is here. Amongst you. Now, I want to find her."
There was whispers and gasps. Nathaniel wanted just that.
"We have no idea what you are talking about." David said in a panicked voice. "I would never allow-"
"Oh, but you have." Nathaniel said, cutting him off again. "In fact, I have been told that you are one of the reasons she is here. Now, you know I cannot just look past that."
David's eyes darkened suddenly. "I'll never let you touch her." He growled. "She will succeed, she will save us all."
David lunged, but Nathaniel was already prepared. Before David's body could even make contact with his, Nathaniel pulled out a long golden sword and thrust it through his stomach. A bright light shine from he embedded sword, showering the room in white. There were collective gasps and screams and Nathaniel knew people planned on running. With a flick of his wrist, all the electronics powering the doors stopped working, locking them in.
David's frail body crumpled to the ground, red blood spilling from his stomach. Since Nathaniel was neither and Angel nor a demon, he not only could banish souls, he could destroy them with his mighty sword.
Nathaniel looked down at the body, the destroyed soul, and smirked. "Now then," he said, looking back up at the people. "Let's play a game. Who wants to go first?"
