Ch -17

Mr. base's P.O.V

" Sir these files need your signature in it" Harry informed entering my office.

"Here" i handed back after i signed it .

" Ok thank you ...i'll take my leave then"

" Harry?" i called out when he was about to leave the room.

" yes sir?"

"i wanted to ask you something actually" i replied awkwardly.

" Go ahead sir "

" How do you possibly impress a women....a women who had misunderstood you??"

" Women ...are apparently the only thing i have no idea how to deal with sir... But i suppose a Candle light dinner and some Flowers would work!" he said half confidently.

" What if the women had a minor accident recently and sprained her ankle ...??Dinner date at a restuarant would be impossible for her at the moment "

"Then cook something for her!!"He reasoned and i mentally smiled.

"I think thats a good idea" i nodded towards him .

6:00 pm (Entering his apartment )

" Rodrigo you didnt have to do this ...really it isnt necessary!" I heard someone exclaim.

" But it is....you cant cook!! You can hardly walk around straight!!... And i was free so i though what the hell ..lets help you with dinner today" Another voice answered so i walk towards the noise instead of walking towards my room .

And saw Rodrigo taking the cooking materials to start cooking while Ms. Waters trying to stop him.

Something about the scene irritated me but i couldnt point out what .

" Ms. waters?"I called out .

She had been very shy from yesterday's i_scooped_her_in_the_bathroom incident.I wonder why...it was just a scoop.

She turned .

" huh...Mr.Base your back!" She answered smiling warmly and walking towards me.

One thing that has changed in our house after Mr.Waters arrival was the welcoming smile i got everyday which i never responded back too...
Not that i didnt want too but more like i didnt knew how too...

"Yes you needed me for anything ..?" she inquired.

" Hows your ankle doing now and Rodrigo why are you here?"

" Its doing fine thank you for asking and Rodrigo insisted to cook today because of the sprain"

" Didnt i tell you to call someone to do the work for you Ms. waters" I tried to ask gently but came out in a harsh tone.

" Ohh..i'm sorry i ju-ust thought i could do it myself ...it wasnt that much of a work" she said nervously.

" Rodrigo you can go i'll do the cooking"

"but sir-r"

" you can go now and Mr. Waters sit in that chair quietly i'll change and come down " with that i walked away to change.

" Mason hand me the salt "

" Amanda where is the salt?"he questioned running towards the restlessly seated nanny.

" Ohh ..its there let me hand it to yo-u" she said starting to stand up from her chair .

"Mason find it yourself and Ms. waters be seated!"

" Yes sir" both said in sink.

We where seated at the dining table waiting for Amanda's opinions on the taste of the curry me and Mason made.

" How is it amanda...how is it?" Mason asked excitedly while she tasted it and i eagerly.waited for her reply.Not that i showed it.

"umm.......YUMMY!! " she complimented both of us with a bright wide grin.

I proceeded to take my first bite of the chicken curry and it was .....salty!

" blehhhh!! its too salty amanda......its not yummy AT ALL" Mason made a faced.

" But it is to me!" she replied simply and continued eating .

" ohh and Mr. base Can i have a minute with you after dinner...its about the meeting with the....umm...you know that meeting we were suppose to attend the day after tommorow" she said indicating towards Mason.

" Ok sure"

After dinner!

Amanda's POV

" I'll help you!" I answered looking at him firmly.

" What made you change your mind..Didn't you say you wouldn't marry me even if I were the last man on earth!" he used my words against me.

" Mary came today !" I informed ignoring his taunts.

" Who Mary? " He asked confused.

" Mrs. Mary Andrews the child centre women and she was in a very subtle way trying to find flaws into our little lie...she must have become suspecious of our marriage!"

" What did she ask !" he asked stifly.

" That's not important but if you wanted Mason by your side we have to be careful very careful. "

He nodded.

" So how much are you asking for?" calmly he asked.

That hit a nerve!

" Mr. base or Madric when a person offers to help it means they are volunteering without asking for anything........and I still stick to my decision....It's for Mason I'm doing this or I wouldn't have married a cold hearted man like you!" And walk away without waiting for his reply.
