SODA CLENCHED HIS jaw

SODA CLENCHED HIS jaw. "She lied to me."

I put my hand on his shoulder, trying to comfort him. "Well, let's go find her."

We walked into the party and stepped over thousands of drunk people to even get to where she was located at.

We found her in the kitchen and I stood by so they could talk. By the looks on their faces, Soda is highly pissed and she is trying to find an excuse for a party going on in her house that she didn't even tell Soda about.

Bet that weddings off.

I walked outside and waited for Soda to come out. I sat on the porch and waited for about ten minutes until I walked back in to check on him.

They weren't in the kitchen anymore, so I checked everywhere, but couldn't find them. I wasn't going to even try to look in the bedroom because if they were in there I couldn't handle the amount of embarrassment I would have, plus how hurt I'd feel.

I decided to walk home by myself, not even thinking of what could happen. I saw a Mustang behind me and instantly felt all the blood drain out of my body. Suddenly, I couldn't move my limbs to even make me run home. I heard a car door slam and a few chuckles come from behind me.

"Well, well, well, what do we have here?" A Soc named Lucas asked, walking up behind me.

"I'd say a greaser." One of his friends laughed.

"Oh my, it's Skylar Winston! The hottest greaser in town!" He whistled and walked around me in a circle.

I gulped and tried to look cool and collected. Out of all the days I carry my switchblade, I didn't carry it today. Of course.

Lucas got up close to my face and smirked. "Well boys, I don't know what we should do with her."

"I know exactly what to do." One Soc with brown hair stepped beside him. "I say we hold her on the ground and cut her long, beautiful blonde hair off. It seems like it's the only good thing she has left." He snarled.

"Good idea, Mike. Fetch me the scissors in the glove compartment." Lucas grinned evilly.

Mike went into the car and came out holding a pair of red scissors. "Here you go, Lucas."

Lucas grabbed the scissors and started walking towards me. "Now, if you don't put up a fight this will go smooth and easy. Who knows? Maybe I'll make your hair look even better!"

"In your dreams, blondie." I laughed and kicked him in his soft spot. He groaned and fell to the ground. "Get her!" He shouted, and I took of running as fast as I ever did in track.

I guess being in track and basketball has me at an advantage because I was way ahead of the other Soc's. I started running until I saw the Curtis's house. I ran inside and scared Darry half to death. "What in the hell is going on?" He stood up.

"The- the Soc's ran after me and tried to cut m-my hair off." I explained in between breaths. He grabbed his gun and walked outside just as the Soc's came in the yard.

"What do you think you're doing in our territory?" Darry asked, the gun in his hands.

"Getting that little asshole you have named Skylar Winston." Mike yelled.

"Well, too bad you can't have her. Now get off my property or I'm going to have to use this gun." Darry cocked the gun and pointed it right at the group of Soc's. They ran away and Darry came back inside.

"Where in the world is Soda? Pony said he was with you." Darry furrowed his eyebrows.

I'm not a crier. The only times I have ever cried was at my mom and dad's funeral. Winston's don't really get emotional.

Tears started swelling in my eyes, and I told Darry everything. When I finished, Darry was in shock. "I am so so sorry, Little Winston. Come here." I hugged him and started crying even more.

Darry wasn't one to comfort people, but he made an exception when it came to me.

The door opened and Soda came rushing in. "Blue, are you okay?"

"Don't talk to me." I snapped, the Dally side of me coming out.

My walls are starting to build more and more.

He knitted his eyebrows in confusion. "What did I do?"

Darry walked out, leaving us in the living room. I took a deep breath to try and calm myself down. "You left me! I waited for you and you never came back. I checked on you, but didn't find you. So, when I walked home, Soc's came up beside me and threatened to hold me down while they cut off my hair. I kicked him and ran as fast as I could while the other Soc's chased after me all the way here. You left me! This wouldn't have happened if you would've never even went inside Sandy's house in the first place!"

Soda's eyes started getting glossy. "Blue, I am so sorry. If I would've known I would've never went in her house." He sighed, "It's all my fault. I'm sorry, Blue. I went with Sandy and fell asleep in her bed. When I woke up, I ran out and tried to find you."

I shook my head. "Forget it. All that matters is Sandy, right? Sandy this. Sandy that. Well, I'm sick of it! You go ahead and marry her tomorrow even though she two times you daily. I don't care! Just don't expect me to be there tomorrow!"

I slammed the door and ran across the street to my house. I ran upstairs and cried into my pillow.

Crying myself to sleep is what I've been finding myself doing lately.

I FIXED MYSELF some tea and sat on the couch, watching Mickey Mouse. It's Sunday, so Two-Bit should be here any minute.

Just as I predicted, I hear the door slam and in walked Two-Bit with a beer in his hand as usual. "What's up, Minnie?" He asked and sat next to me.

"Hey, Two." I gave him a small smile.

"What's wrong with you today?" Two-Bit questioned, taking a sip of his beer.

I sighed. "Go over to Darry's house and you'll find out. Soda is asking Sandy to marry him today. Plus, I almost got jumped by Soc's last night because of Soda."

"Well I'll be." Two shook his head, "I guess I should go over there then. You coming?"

I shook my head. "Does it look like I want to go see him right now? Let alone watch him ask someone else to marry him."

"Aww." Two gave me a pouty face. "I'll see you later, Minnie."

"Bye, Mick."

He left me sitting there watching Mickey Mouse by myself, and the only thing that ran through my mind was that the person I've had a crush on since I was little, is marrying someone else.
