I walked down the sidewalk not a thought fluttered through my head. As I passed an old coffee shop I forgot why I started walking in the first place but as I looked around seeing chinese flags in the air, the brightly colored walls, and throw the runs of people tall, short, mean, kind there was a stillness in the air that I could not truly understand but appreciate, I knew I was home. It was midday the sun was bright but the wind still blow past me making me shiver slightly. Everything was as if it was, as if I had never left. But that's when it all changed on that beautiful sidewalk.
I looked up and saw someone. Someone strong yet gentle, someone beautiful yet daunting. This was eye catching and I instantly wanted to know him. He had the brightest smile, as I watched him it looked like nothing could touch him, he was on cloud nine. I could tell he was trapped in this own little world. I wanted to discover it, him. I never wanted anything as much as I wanted this tall, blonde, intriguing man. He was different, exciting, fun, he stood at an apple cart as soon as the owner turned around he picked up an apple took a bite out of it and rolled it back down the sidewalk, it hit my feet. He looked at me and grinned putting his finger up to him mouth and shhhing me not to tell the owner. I quickly flashed him a smile. and kicked the apple into the streets of my home. My mother had always warned me that if you look at a man for too long you wouldn't be able to stop, I never understood what she meant but I knew now. A rush grow over me of intensity I thought I might die or fate but I ran scared of losing something I never had. Funny, It's been years since this but I still never spoke of it but as I lie on my deathbed I realize I i've never loved like I did on that beautiful sidewalk.
