Sorry for the long wait guys. Wifi's acting a nut. But anyway, I'm gonna be switching point of views a lot. It just works better that way, for some reason. Let's continue.

"Aiight." I laughed a bit. "Thank y'all. No Cha. I haven't asked yet. It's my birf'dey, lemme enjoy it."
I was listenin' to my nieces sing happy birf'dey to me. As soon as they finished, Cha wanted ta know if I was bringin' my "mystery girl" to NOLA.
"It's your birf'dey, Aug. I'm sure she might say yes."
"You sure she might. I'll ask ta'night, Cha. Damn."
"Happy 26th birf'dey big head. Love you!" She said befo' I hung up.
I sighed and went inta tha bathroom to do my daily routine.
When I came out, Avery stood in tha middle a' tha room with some bags.
"Wat's goin' on?"
"I'm going to Jer's house to get ready." She said ta me.
"Why can't cha get ready hea'?" I asked.
"Because, August. It's a surprise." She said, then gave me a' kiss on tha cheek.
She grabbed ha keys keys and went downstairs. I heard tha do' shut soon afta.
"Shit!" I ran afta ha.
"Avery!" I yelled as she got in ha car.
"Yes?" She yelled back.
"I fa'got ta tell ya some'n!"
"What, August?"

Avery Jordan"Open your eye, Ave. It's harder putting it on when it's shut."
"I don't like eyeliner, Jerrion!"
"Oh well. Don't you want to be cute for your man tonight?" She asked.
I looked at her. "He's not my man."
"Yadda yadda. Go get dressed. You said he's gonna be here in a minute."
I got off the counter of her bathroom and headed into her bedroom.
"Damn. You looking good girl." Jerrion smiled at me after I put my dress on.
"Thank you." I said, hearing a horn sound outside.
"He's here."
We walked to her living room. I stood behind her as she opened the door for August.
"Damn." He said. "You look beautiful, baybeh."
I felt my face heat up. "Thank you. You don't look bad yourself." I said before he took my my hand, leading me to the car.
He opened my door, then got in soon after.
We had slight conversation and laughter. The rest of the ride was a comfortable silence.

We pulled up to tha restaurant soon afta.
"Reservations fa Alsina."
"Yes, of course. Right this way, Mr. and Mrs." The host said.
Ave looked at me for a second as we walked. I guess she was surprised that I didn't correct him.
