“Never seek to tell thy love, Love that never told can be;”

-William Blake

Rose turned away for a moment. “The, ah, Daily Prophet. Something about Scorpius in it.” She said before walking back to her bedroom. She let the tears flow once she shut the door and leaned against it. She shouldn't be crying over Scorpius. She was dating Ivan; she was perfectly happy; plus Scorpius had left her. Rose wiped away the tears and cleared her throat before picking up the ringing phone.

“Hello?” She answered lowly. She was trying to not let her emotion show in her voice.

“Rose? Are you okay?” James Potter asked. “You sound terrible.”

“I- I just woke up. And I have a bad cough.” Rose replied. She cleared her throat. “Why are you calling?”

“Bloody liar.” James mumbled. “I just thought to catch up with you...”

“What's the real reason?” Rose asked as she sat on her bed. The room was dark as it got darker outside. She didn't feel like turning on the lights.

“I would like to have Emilie's number. I think Emilie and I really hit it off and I believe I fancy her. I know you have it Rose Weasley.” James said. “Please?”

“You don't want to fancy her, James.” Rose said quickly. She wanted to spare her cousin the emotional breakdown.

“Why not Rose? What are you not telling me?” James asked. “Shut up Albus! Can't you see I'm the phone?”

Rose sighed, “Emilie has a boyfriend so you should just back off. He's...he's the loving type. She's most likely totally in love with him.”

“I see. Thanks anyway Rose. I'll see you whenever.” James said quickly. He hung up and Rose stared at the phone. James would get over it, she told herself. She stood and turned on the lights.

“I'm so sorry, Scorpius.” Emilie pleaded. She had cleaned up the teacup and handed the Prophet to Scorpius.

“It doesn't matter. She was just surprised. Not like she cares.” Scorpius replied. He had read the article twice. Now he couldn't walk in public again. “Plus she's doing Ivan. And she fancies him.”

“Scorpius! You don't know anything about their relationship! You can't just say these things.” Emilie scolded. She gave him a disapproving look.

“I may not know anything about their relationship, but I know about Ivan.” Scorpius replied, tapping Emilie's nose. “What are we going to do?”

“I don't know about /we/, Scorpius. Seems like they don't know about /me/. I can finally walk in peace for a bit.” Emilie explained, “But I will find a way to get you out of the country.”

Scorpius nodded. He'd be bored most of the days.

“Goodnight.” Emilie whispered before placing a kiss on his cheek and walking into the guest bedroom.

Scorpius stood and pulled the bed out from the couch. He pulled the blanket that Emilie had found over his body and close his eyes, praying for sleep to come.

Scorpius's P.O.V;;

/I ran to through the woods, panting. My hair was matted down with sweat and blood. My blood.

“Rose!” I yelled, “Rose, Help me!” I continued to run, trying to gain some sort of speed. I could only see trees, shrubs, and ahead of me a faint wisp of red hair.

“Rose!” I yelled again. The red hair didn't turn around and I continued to chase her. I tripped over a fallen tree trunk and fell. “Rose!” I yelled. Maybe she would come this time. There was a crash behind me and I turned. Behind me, and quickly approaching, was a large basilisk. Weren't basilisks extinct? There was only one and that was in the Chamber of Secrets and killed by Harry Potter!

“R-R-Rose!” I stumbled over my words as I struggled to get up. The basilisk wrapped it slimy body around me, ready to choke me to death. I opened my eyes and saw Rose. She was all over Ivan as they snogged and then a rare sight. Hope came and pulled them apart before snogging Ivan herself. I watched as Rose cried and Emilie came running by. “Scorpius?” Emilie called, “He's dead Rose!”

I tried to tell her different. I didn't want to make Rose upset anymore. I wanted to hold her in my arms and hope she found comfort in them.

“No.” Rose choked out as she gripped Emilie's arm. Rose kissed my lips before closing my eyes./

Narrator;;

Scorpius woke up, gasping for air. The sun started to stream through the living room windows as Scorpius sat up. Both his hands went over his face and through his hair. He didn't know what that was, but it had him worried and curious.

Saturday morning was busy for James Potter. For one, he had to work until three in the afternoon before being able to relax for the weekend. And he had his father to blame for that. At head of the Auror's office, Harry Potter had added hours on Saturday and you were required to show up if alerted. The dark haired boy found himself thinking of the girl he had met yesterday at the Leaky Cauldron. She had been fun, interesting, and new. Then he had to find out she had a boyfriend. She definitely hadn't seemed like she had one. James picked up the phone and dialed Rose.

“Hello?” Emilie answered the phone, “Oh hi James. I'm staying at Rose's. How are you?”

Scorpius flipped through the TV channels as Emilie spoke to James. The guy seemed too hung up on Emilie.

Rose drank down the butterbeer as she sat on the bar stool in the Leaky Cauldron. She was waiting for Kira, her old friend, to arrive.

“Rose?” Hope asked as she walked up behind the redhead.

“Oh, Hope.” Rose said. She shifted as Hope took a seat next to her.

“We've never been on the best of terms...and it was only because of Scorpius. But he's gone now, I haven't even heard from him in years.....How have you been?” Hope spoke as if they were good friends that haven't saw one another in years.

“I've been good. I apologize but...this is awkward. You tried to kill me a few years ago and now we're talking casually.” Rose said as Kyle put a glass of firewhiskey in front of Hope.

“I know...and I just thought that...well we're older now and more mature. So I decided I'm going to try to right my past wrongs.” Harper explained before drinking down her glass.

“I see. Its a good goal, but not something that should start with me.” Rose said.

“I think it should start with you. I've done the worst to you.” Hope replied.

“I can't think of anything besides screaming at me and nearly killing me with the most dangerous curse.” Rose stated, looking at Hope. She dropped the galleons on the bar counter. “Is there something else I'm not aware of?”

“I'm having an affair with your boyfriend.”
