“Never cross Ron Weasley.” -DeathAngel360
Scorpius's hand recoiled to rest at his side. He gave an uneasy look to Rose.
“What happened?” Hermione asked as she stepped out of the fire. “Scorpius Malfoy. That's not right.”
Harry nodded gravely, and held up the vial with the truth serum. “James spilled.”
“Rose, I've always trusted your judgment but have you gone completely mad?” Hermione asked. She frowned at her daughter. “Who are you?” She asked, directing her questionat Emilie that was attempting to crawl out of the window.
“Hello. I'm Emilie.” Emilie greeted with a smile. She had changed her looks, Rose noted. Emilie now sported a much too thin figure, and too large clothing.
“Her looks are changed.” Harry commented, “She's wanted in France and America.”
“How did you know that?” Scorpius asked Harry with a perplexed look.
“I'm head of the Auror office. And she was last seen headed towards England so I was notified.” Harry informed Scorpius.
“Well Molly will be expecting us to return with Rose.” Hermione said with an intake of breath. “She'll be pleasantly surprised.”
“We've already had dinner. At the Malfoy's.” Rose said. Ron turned to leave and turned red.
“Ron, mate, calm down.” Harry encouraged as he threw the Floo powder into the fireplace. “Everyone in.”
Rose nodded and gulped. Her father was already beyond pissed.
“Oh Rose! Its only been a week but I've missed you!” Molly gushed before pulling Rose into a bear hug.
“Hi grandma.” Rose greeted.
“You look so dressed up! Where were you?” Molly asked as she pulled the others into hugs.
“At the Malfoy's apparently.” Ron said sourly. He stormed into the living room with Hermione following.
“Why were you at the Malfoy's?” Molly asked. Her smile had dropped and she looked more worried now.
“I guess I would be the reason.” Scorpius admitted once he walked through the fire. A still-changing Emilie followed him and smiled, “Which way to the loo?”
“Upstairs to the left.” Molly said, frowning as Emilie ran through the Burrow. She turned to Scorpius, “Why are you here? I should murder you for trying to kill my grandaughter!”
“You make it sound like Rose is your favourite.” Lily Potter commented with a smile. “Hey Rosie!” She hugged her cousin. “Little too much lip gloss.” She giggled as Clara came crawling in.
“Wose!” Clara gurgled with a clap of her hands.
“Clara, I told you Rose is- Rose!” Victoire said with a smile. She squeezed her cousin, “I've missed you.”
“What's Scorpius doing here?” Teddy asked coldly. His hair was its natural brown and Teddy sent Scorpius a mild glare.
“He was staying at Rose's. We found them just walking in after visiting his parents.” Harry explained calmly. “I won't contain him. Yet.”
“I think that everyone needs a good night's sleep. It is past nine now.” Molly said. She picked up Clare, “Off to bed munchkin. You see your cousins Fred and Roxanne once George and Angelina come back from their trip to Egypt.”
“There's a room upstairs.” Harry said to Scorpius. The second to top floor. On the right from the stairs. Emilie can room with Rose and Lily.”
Rose sat up in her bed. It was close to midnight now and the whole house was asleep. Except for her. She was annoyed the way her father reacted, never letting her get a word in. But why should he? If they switched places, she'd probably do the same. But it didn't give him the right to write off Scorpius like that. Rose pushed back the covers and tiptoed out of her room. Scorpius was sleeping on the floor below. The room had once been Ron's.
“Scorpius.” Rose whispered as she opened his door.
“What?” Scorpius asked as he yawned and stretched, “Rose? What are you doing here?”
“Sneaking out of my room.” Rose answered as she pulled back his blankets. Scorpius made an unappreciative noise before moving to make room for her.
“No matter how beautiful you look, you should really go back to bed. Your father will have my head if he catches you in here.” Scorpius said, now wide awake. Rose tried to give him a more convincing snog. Scorpius kissed her back before he pulled away, “This is no time for shagging Rose. I don't want to hurt your feelings, but I want to wake up with all my body parts intact.”
“Then let's apparate to my loft!” Rose hissed.
Scorpius's P.O.V;
“I think you've gone mad.” I said lowly. If she pouted, I just might punch myself. Speak of the devil, the girl pouts.
“Just once?” Rose pleaded. She certainly had a knack of getting what she wanted.
“Get your wand.” I said, defeated. Rose cheered before stepping out of my room to get her wand. I got out of bed and pulled on my shirt. I just hoped we wouldn't be caught.
“Was that so bad?” Rose asked, later while we lounged in her room. The blinds were drawn and blocking our view of the London streets.
“No.” I admitted. I smiled before shifting and snogging her.
“Mhm.” Rose said with a smile against my lips, “We should go soon. Where's my shirt?”
“I have /no/ idea.” I replied. Rose tended to be a feisty creature. And her red hair simply attributed to the fact. The door was kicked in and a very angry red-haired man came through.
“Make yourselves decent.” Ron growled. He threw Rose her shirt and me my pants.
“Uh, oh. We are in so much trouble.” Rose stated. I didn't reply as I hastily pulled on my underwear, shirt, and trousers on. Rose was dressed soon after and I gripped her hand as we stepped out to her living room.
“Back to the Burrow.” Ron commanded.
I nodded and stepped through the fire first. It seemed like it wasn't going to be the only fire I stepped through tonight.
