A/N: This. Is. It. The last chapter. Sorry it has taken so long.
“That the end is not far off since it will occur In the present and this is the present.”- John Ashbery
Ron nodded his light understanding. Hermione might know something, the bookworm she was, but he'd have to ask her later.
Draco popped his head into the room, “I should be going now. Nice seeing you...son.”
“Alright.” Scorpius said.
“I'm interrupting. I apologize for that but I have some news.” The doctor said as he walked in with Rose's charts. He woke Rose so she could hear.
“How long have I been out?” Rose asked as she sat up.
She gripped Scorpius's hand and weakly smiled at him.
“Twelve hours.” The doctor informed her kindly. “Im sorry to inform you th-th-that you have l-lost your child.”
Rose clutched her stomach and squeezed Scorpius's hand.
“I'll give you all a few minutes before we decide how to proceed.” The doctor said before he walked out.
“This can't be happening.” Rose breathed as tears streaked her cheeks.
Scorpius clenched his teach and gave Rose a brief squeeze.
Ron didn't say anything as he looked out the window. “I'll tell the family for you.” He said quietly before apparating out.
“I'm tired of this.” Scorpius commented.

“Scorpius! You can't go!” Rose argued. She was still trapped by a medical IV, other wise she would have jumped him.
“Rose. Rest. I'm just going to get some butterbeer” Scorpius replied. He gave he a parting kiss before exiting her room.
“Liar!” Rose yelled. She waited, impatiently, until she was sure no one would come to check on her. Now was her chance. She knew Scorpius wasn't getting butterbeer. He was going to confront Harper.
“Perhaps we should play a quick scrimmage of Quidditch.” Hugo suggested. The red-haired boy stretched and took a seat on the matted down mixture of grass and hay.
“I would pummel you. Badly.” Lily replied with a grin. She earned a glare from her cousin before the familiar 'poof' of Apparation sounded. They turned to the figure that stood less than ten feet away from them.
“I need a lot of help.”
“Does Rose know about this?” Lily asked as she jogged to catch up with Scorpius. Five minutes ago he had came to the Burrow seeking their help. The blonde Malfoy had been fuming when he had apparated. And now, here they were. Soon enough, Victoire, Teddy, Roxanne, Louis, Fred JR. , Ron, and Harry arrived.
“Portkey. I'm glad it didn't take long to arrange.” Victoire commented with a smile.
“Where are the kids?” Hugo asked Victoire.
“With Grandma Molly, Aunt Ginny, and Aunt Hermione.” Victoire replied quickly.
“No.” Scorpius finally answered. Lily gave him an inaudible tsk and shook her head. Scorpius stopped and looked around. The vast field was bare, the grass matted by some machine. Scorpius had no reason to pick this place. Before he could even think to change his mind, the sky darkened. They all looked up as the green clouds emerged and formed the dark mark.
“Its happening.” The words escaped from Hugo's pink lips. He spoke what was on everyone's mind.
“Scar hurt, Harry?” Ron muttered. Harry shook his head and looked up at the mark himself. The familiar feelings of fear and sorrow hit him in full force. He wouldn't let this happen again. He wouldn't let any darkness hurt his family.
“Where's our little Rosie?” Harper asked, taking an innocent tone as she made her appearance. Two other cloaked figures flanked Harper. “I see you brought a little group. But that's not fair....”
“Avada Kedavra!”
“Expelliarmus!”
Harper gave a maddened shriek. She turned and picked up her displaced wand. “I will kill you all and do /whatever/ I have to do to bring Voldemort back.”
“You are playing with a magic you don't understand.” Harry reasoned. “You're too young to understand the consequences. You /weren't/ there. The fear. The fear that if you walked outside your bloody house you would never come back because a Death Eater or Voldemort would kill you before you could do anything. The times were Hogwarts was no longer safe. Terrors behind every corner. Sometimes you couldn't even trust your friends.”
“He was the greatest wizard! And you brought him down!” Harper shrieked.
“You never even knew the guy for Merlin's sake!” Rose yelled as she walked out into the field. She had taken the time to go to her flat and get some decent clothing. “Voldemort this, Voldemort that. If you want to be a cold-blooded killer, become one. Slaughter us all! But know one thing, killing an innocent soul marks your life forever.”
“Rose! You should be at St. Mungo's!” Scorpius argued. His own face was pale. Rose shook her head. “I have to be here, Scorp.”
“Rose you must be mad! She's going to kill us!” Lily screeched quietly. The small girl's face was blotching and she looked like she had a horrible disease. “What about Artie...”
“Trust me Rose, I will have a fine time killing you.” Harper said as she raised her wand. Her cronies raised them as well.
“I love you.” Victoire whispered to her family as she moved to hold hands with them.
“Kill us.” Rose said coldly. She squeezed Scorpius's hand and Ron's hand. “I love all of you.”
“Avada Kedavra!”
“Avada Kedavra!”
The sound of dropping dead bodies was deafening.
