“Bloody hell. I almost thought you two weren't going to do it!” Ron stated as the two cloaked figures pulled off their hoods.
“Mum? Aunt Ginny?” Rose asked once the hoods were off. “Why didn't you to tell us?! I wouldn't have offered up my life!”
Scorpius laughed, “All's well that ends well.”
-13 years later-
Rose stood on the Platform for the third time in sixteen years. Her eleven year old daughter led the way with an untreatable shock of red hair. The doctors had been wrong all those years ago. Mackenzie Astoria Ginevra Malfoy was the healthiest child on the planet.
“Wait up, Mac!” Adrien, Mackenzie's younger brother, yelled as he raced after her on the platform.
“I don't think we were ever like that.” Scorpius commented as he pulled Mac's trunks and held Rose's hand. Rose shook her head with a dreamy smile on her face.
“We hated each other's guts. I punched you in the face remember?” Rose teased. They hardly talked about their seventh year at Hogwarts. Too many raw emotions.
Rose stood on her tip-toes as she tried to see Adrien's blonde head somewhere in the crowd. “Adrien Malfoy! Get your bloody butt back here! You too, Mackenzie!”
“Mackenzie was trying to snog with some Ravenclaw boy!” Adrien tattled. His gray eyes darted to the side when he heard Mackenzie come up. “He had his robes and everything.” Adrien whispered in Scorpius's ear. “He seemed to like it too. Girls are icky.”
“Mac, were you trying to snog a Ravenclaw?”
“I guess I can't say I'd disown her.” Ron commented as he walked up with Hermione. They greeted their daughter and extended family.
“Third year at Hogwarts, Mac, and already trying to snog boys!” Clara chastised. The sixth year Slytherin grinned at her second cousin. “You should be ashamed of yourself! The twins would never let you live it down.”
The girls chased each other onto the train. They had everything and waved off to their family.
“She'll be okay.” Scorpius whispered to Rose like he did every year since Mac started Hogwarts. Six year old, Adrien was slumped against Scorpius sleeping. His blonde hair framed his face.
“I know. I just hope Hogwarts is safe.”
